Richard Petty Motorsports Partners with the American Red Cross
Team up with Brian Scott and No. 44 Ford to Raise Funds for Hurricane Matthew Victims

Richard Petty Motorsports announced today that the American Red Cross, one of the nation's premier humanitarian organizations, will be featured as the primary partner on the No. 44 Ford Fusion driven by Brian Scott this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. With a history of giving back to the community, Richard Petty Motorsports and Scott will support giving back to the victims of Hurricane Matthew with a paint scheme donning a phone number to text and donate money to relief efforts.

More than two weeks after Hurricane Matthew struck Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and parts of Virginia, the American Red Cross has served more than 1.3 million meals and snacks, and provided 99,000 overnight shelter stays to people in need, prompting the charity to issue a call for the public's help.

"With the significance that Hurricane Matthew had on the Carolinas, Virginia and really all of the southeast coast, we knew it was extremely important to give back to our community in a partnership with the American Red Cross," Richard Petty, co-owner of Richard Petty Motorsports, said. "One of the best things we can do for our community is to give back, and after seeing the impact Hurricane Matthew had on cities like Lumberton, Kinston and others cities in the coast plains of NC, , we think partnering with Red Cross is an integral part in helping with the relief efforts of fans in those areas. We have cities completely under water where our neighbors have lost everything!"

The Red Cross depends on donations to provide immediate relief. Fans can help people affected by Hurricane Matthew by visiting http://www.redcross.org/rpm-pub, calling 1-800-RED-CROSS, or texting the word MATTHEW to 90999, which will be featured on the No. 44 Ford Fusion this weekend, to make a $10 donation. Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from this disaster.

"We truly appreciate the partnership of Richard Petty and Brian Scott, and all the racing fans who are so generously supporting our work," said Selma Bouhl, Red Cross VP Brand & Marketing Strategy. "We're in the middle of a vast response effort and will be helping people affected by Hurricane Matthew to recover for as long as we are needed."

This will be the first time Richard Petty Motorsports and the American Red Cross have partnered together for a primary race. Scott has one start at Martinsville Speedway in the Sprint Cup Series, finishing 26th in the spring race earlier this season.

The No. 44 Red Cross Ford will hit the track for Sunday's Goody's Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Father's Day - Richard Petty Motorsports
Brian Scott

RPM Rookie, Brian Scott, also reflects on what being a father has meant to him and the positivity of adoption.

“In all honesty, deciding to get married and have kids is daring, and may be one of the most daring things I’ve ever done. However, it’s also one of the most rewarding things to become a dad to both Brielle and Jojo. As everyone knows, I adopted Brielle when I married Whitney. So often, people consider women that might have children from a previous relationship a negative thing when in all actuality, I really feel like it’s a positive. You’re getting not just one person who loves you – you’re getting two. If you nurture it in the right way and you commit to it, it’s a welcome addition and a positive thing in so many ways. Then, we grew our family when we had Jojo, and Brielle really loves being a big sister to Jojo.”

When asked about one of his favorite aspects of being a father he responded;“Just being there for the kids and enjoying family moments together, playing with them, hearing them laugh and seeing them smile — all of those things are so much better than any of the negative aspects people like to bring up about having kids. It’s not baggage — it’s great addition to my life.”

Hats off to you, fathers! All of Richard Petty Motorsports,  thank you for all of your love and support over the years. From useless knowledge to the most serious of life lessons, we’ve picked it all up from you and wouldn’t have it any other way; Happy Father’s Day! Source: RPM Motorsports

Richard Petty Motorsports Partners with Go Bowling for Kansas Speedway Race

GoBowling.com to Adorn Hood of No. 44 Ford Fusion for Brian Scott

Richard Petty Motorsports announced  that Go Bowling and Strike Ten Entertainment, the bowling industry’s marketing arm and sponsorship division, will partner with driver Brian Scott and the No. 44 Ford Team for the Go Bowling 400 at Kansas Speedway.

As part of the one-race primary partnership, the GoBowling.com logo will be on the hood of the No. 44 Ford Fusion at the May 7 night race in Kansas. Go Bowling has been a partner with Richard Petty Motorsports since 2013, and has been featured on the No. 43 Ford Fusion driven by Aric Almirola.

“We’re really excited to have Go Bowling back as a partner for the No. 44 car during Kansas Speedway race weekend,” said Brian Moffitt, CEO of Richard Petty Motorsports. “In addition to their activation throughout the racetrack, we are thrilled to give them an on-track presence for 400 miles. Bowling is a sport that is special to both Richard Petty and Brian Scott and to be able to have that representation on the car in the Kansas race will be fun for all.”

The ties between racing and bowling date back to the 1990s when NASCAR bowling leagues were launched and were immediate hits at bowling centers across the country. Since then, the bowling industry – Go Bowling and Strike Ten Entertainment – has increased its involvement in racing from sponsoring races to engaging with drivers and teams.

“We are proud to be associated with Richard Petty Motorsports and rising star Brian Scott,” said John Harbuck, President of Strike Ten Entertainment. “There is a natural fit between one of America’s largest spectator sports, NASCAR racing, and the largest participatory sport, bowling. Both have a unique appeal and attract fans who like to have a great time with family and friends.”

More than 67 million people take to the lanes each year and bowling centers serve as community hubs for social events, birthday parties, competitive leagues and charitable fundraisers.

As part of the agreement, Strike Ten Entertainment is partnering with Petty Family Foundation to host a charity bowling event in Indianapolis in July. The event will benefit Brandywine Creek Farms, a non-profit organization that donates a half million pounds of food each year to needy families in Indianapolis. The event will be held on Friday, July 22 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at a bowling facility in Indianapolis. More information can be found at www.PettyFamilyFoundation.org.

“NASCAR legend Richard Petty, and the Petty Family Foundation are excited to announce that we are partnering with Go Bowling, Strike Ten, and Bowling Proprietors, in a campaign to raise money for the fight against hunger with Brandywine Creek Farms,” Shannon Newman, Director of Petty Family Foundation, said. “This campaign to fight hunger is fully consistent with our mission at the Petty Family Foundation, which is to seek a positive change for those in need by inspiring communities to enrich the lives of their residents, and by providing the means necessary to empower individuals, organizations, and agencies who help make dreams come true for others.”

Fans can catch the No. 44 Go Bowling Ford Fusion and Brian Scott in action at the Go Bowling 400 from Kansas Speedway May 7 live on FOX Sports 1 and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio channel 90 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
