Danica Patrick and Alyssa Milano
Danica Patrick and Alyssa Milano
(via twitter)
We have all discussed Jay Mohr’s tasteless “joke” about forty-one-year old actress and new mother, Alyssa Milano (more details ); however, did you hear the one about NASCAR Driver, Danica Patrick?

Host Jay Mohr joked at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards Banquet that he hoped that Danica Patrick wasn't un- comfortable being close to the stage because she's not used to being up front.

Patrick didn't laugh and neither did her boyfriend, NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. After the joke, Mohr tried his best to smooth things over but it may not have worked very well.

Below is a video of the exchange –

NASCAR Race Mom thought it was funny and presented in an appropriate setting. However, equally suitable was Ms. Patrick’s response to the joke – you do not have to enjoy being “roasted.”

What do you think – was it funny?

Seriously Jay Mohr

Comedian Mohr had hosted the NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series awards ceremony at Wynn Las Vegas on Dec. 6.

Actress Alyssa Milano was also in attendance; presenting NASCAR Driver Jimmie Johnson with his championship award. Milano has a new clothing line - NASCAR Touch Collection

During an after-event interview,. Mohr mistakenly referred to Ms. Milano as “Melissa Milano,” then furthered his blunder by mading fun of her “gut” and some problems she had while on the air!

“She was one of the presenters. ... She’s very tiny. In height,” Mohr spouted. “It seems like she had a baby . . . . .‘I don’t really give a sh-- ’ ... I read it on her gut.”

On Christmas Day, Milano shot back at Mohr on Twitter. "So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me," she tweeted at Mohr. "Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife."

What a classy way to respond to a insensitive tactless “joke.”

Eight days after Milano called Mohr out for his comments, Mohr responded and tried to apologize for his remarks.

"She's stunning. I mistakenly thought the absurdity of what I was saying would have been taken as a joke. #fail," he tweeted.

Mohr later added:

"Sometimes comedians go too far. I went too far. I cannot change what I said, but I can assure you that my heart is broken that I hurt her. I am very sorry."

Seriously Jay Mohr – it took you eight days to figure out the need to express regret? NASCAR Race Mom thought a “stand-up comedian” would stand-up sooner.
