Earnhardt Fans Will Have Lots to Cheer for This Weekend at Bristol

Earnhardt Fans Will Have Lots to Cheer for This Weekend at Bristol

Dale Jr., Jeffrey, Bobby Dale - It's Bristol Baby

This weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway there will be a few Earnhardts carrying on the family legacy, which will make fans at a track that’s long been known as “Earnhardt Country” very excited. Dale Earnhardt Sr. won nine races on Bristol’s high banks including the famed 1999 Night Race when he and Terry Labonte tangled in the closing laps and the Intimidator pulled out the win. Earnhardt Sr. also won his first Cup race at Bristol in April 1979 as a rookie. He remains the only Cup rookie to ever win at Bristol.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., who won the 2004 Night Race and famously launched the phrase “It’s Bristol, Baby!” into being, will lead the way for the family with his four-car Xfinity Series team under his JR Motorsports banner. Justin Algaier will pilot the 7 Chevy, Sammy Smith will drive the No. 8, Carson Kvapil will be at the controls of the No. 1 and red-hot Conner Zilisch will pilot the No. 88 machine for the talented team in the Food City 300, which is the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff opener and all four of those cars are in the post-season.

Meanwhile, also in the Xfinity Series, Dale Jr.’s nephew, Jeffrey Earnhardt, will drive the No. 24 Sam Hunt Racing machine with Forever Lawn sponsorship. Jeffrey is Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s grandson and the son of retired racer Kerry Earnhardt and Dale Jr’s half-brother. The Food City 300 starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night.

In the ARCA Series, Bobby Dale Earnhardt surprised everyone recently when he announced his return to the stock car racing scene. He is the older brother of Jeffrey and ready to make his first career Bristol start in the ARCA Series. Bobby Dale will be driving the No. 31 machine in the ARCA Menards Bush’s Beans 200 on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET. The 38-year-old driver has three previous ARCA starts, with a best finish of 19th.

An Earnhardt on Pole for #NASCAR Xfinity

Jeffrey Earnhardt Wins Pole For Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega

An Earnhardt on Pole for #NASCAR Xfinity

Jeffrey Earnhardt too full advantage of a career opportunity Friday when he captured the pole position for the Ag-Pro 300 (3 p.m. CDT on FOX, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) at Talladega Superspeedway – the first time he sat behind the wheel of the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing  Chevrolet

It was announced just last week that the grandson of 10-time Talladega winner Dale Earnhardt, Sr. would get a one-race deal with RCR (his first ever with the team), and it would be in a No. 3 – that his “grandpa” made famous.

“I tell ya this is unbelievable man,” said an emotional Earnhardt. “This is a dream of mine for years, to get to this opportunity and everything is falling into place. The good Lord is taking care of us. Everyone from ForeverLawn have supported me tremendously. All the guys at RCR, man, all I’ve got to do is hold a pretty wheel. They’ve proven time and time again they bring fast cars to the superspeedways. Not a bad starting spot. We’re going to try to keep ‘er there all race and hopefully put it in victory lane.”

For Childress, whose No. 3 that Earnhardt, Sr., collected nine of those triumphs, it was extra special. “To see that 3 car back on the track with an Earnhardt in it, it’s kind of touching to me anyway because I was always a big Earnhardt fan. And this is Earnhardt country…pretty amazing.”

Jeffrey’s best-career result in the NASCAR Xfinity Series came in 2019 when was third at Charlotte in a Joe Gibbs Racing machine. His best at ’Dega is a 12th (2015). Hoping for his first career triumph, he will have FOX analyst Larry McReynolds serving as his crew chief. McReynolds, before he started his stint with FOX in 2001, had 23 victories as a crew chief, including the 1998 DAYTONA 500 with Dale Sr. at the wheel.

RCR took three of the fop-four spots with Austin Hill second and Sheldon Creed fourth. Ty Gibbs was third and Daniel Hemric fifth.

Eleven-Year-Old Passes Away After Fight with Leukemia

Eleven-Year-Old Passes Away After Fight with Leukemia

Caleb Hammond was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age of nine. Hammond and his family recently decided to stop treatment at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, because it was no longer helping. He returned home to Oskaloosa, Iowa to live the rest of his life away from painful procedures, and to spend time with his family.

Caleb was an avid motorsport fan and amateur racer. He asked for people to send racing stickers to cover his casket if he is unable to overcome his illness.

Of course, the NASCAR Community responded overwhelmingly. Caleb received more than just race stickers for his casket, his name is displayed on over twelve NASCAR race cars at Indy.

StarCom Racing Signs Jeffrey Earnhardt for the 2018 #MENCS Season

StarCom Racing Signs Jeffrey Earnhardt for the 2018 #MENCS Season

Jeffrey Earnhardt, VRX Simulators and StarCom Racing Team Up to Keep Daytona Earnhardt Streak Alive

StarCom Racing Signs Jeffrey Earnhardt for the 2018 #MENCS Season

StarCom Racing,  founded in 2017, is located in North Carolina and fields the 00 and 99 car in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. New to the sport, but eager to succeed, SCR acquired a NASCAR Charter and is running a full 2018 season with the 00 Camaro, staying true to its passion for Chevrolet. Bringing new innovation and competition to the track, the 00 will be piloted by 4th generation cup series driver, Jeffrey Earnhardt.

The team is led by Team Manager, Derrike Cope and Crew Chief, Tony Furr. SCR hit the track in 2017 as a new team in the MENCS. SCR was formed after StarCom Fiber owners, William Woehlemann, Michael Kohler and Matthew Kohler, were the primary sponsor for Derrike Cope earlier in the 2017 season. The owners and board of StarCom Fiber, a New Jersey based Telecommunications Company, saw an amazing opportunity to join forces with veteran Derrike Cope to begin their own MENCS team.

After launching in September 2017, Cope pulled together a team of talented individuals and in just three short months, SCR debuted its brand at the Hollywood Casino 400 in Kansas and then again at the Can-Am 500 in Arizona. After ending its first season on a positive note, with a best 32nd place finish, SCR is looking forward to a successful season, not only on the track, but by growing strong relationships with its partners for an ultimate NASCAR experience off the track as well.

StarCom Racing Signs Jeffrey Earnhardt for the 2018 #MENCS Season

StarCom Racing is please to have signed Jeffrey Earnhardt to compete in this year’s historic 60th running of the DAYTONA 500, and the rest of the season. This will ensure keeping the Earnhardt name alive at the event for the 40th straight year. SCR’s recent Charter acquisition guarantees the team a position in the Great American Race, where it will showcase its partnership with VRX Simulators in the 00 Chevy Camaro, which will be piloted by the 4th generation cup series driver.

Quotes

“I am so appreciative of everyone at StarCom Racing and VRX for having confidence in me and making this a reality,” said Earnhardt. “There’s been an Earnhardt driving in the 500 for 39 years so to be able to keep that streak going for a 40th year means a lot to me and I’m sure a lot of Earnhardt fans are going to be happy to hear this news.”

“It was imperative for our young team to have a sponsored driver for our start-up year, and we did have several options. We felt that Jeffrey was the best fit for our team and VRX has already shown the type of enthusiasm and commitment that SCR has both for Jeffrey and for the sport. It will be a very exciting year for us,” commented Cope.

“I knew Derrike casually before but I didn’t realize how much he knows about race cars. He’s got a tremendous amount of technical expertise and speaking with him gave me confidence that StarCom has big plans and I want to be part of that progression,” said Earnhardt.

“I’m very proud to partner with Jeffrey Earnhardt and StarCom Racing. We’re here to change NASCAR forever. We’re bringing the most powerful technology companies on the planet to do this,” said Robert Stanners, Founder of VRX Simulators. “We have been working on this for seven years, and it’s finally go time! We are proud to continue Earnhardt Nation and its legacy for the 40th year in the 60th running of the DAYTONA 500, with VRX Simulators on board the No. 00 Chevrolet!”

“We are thrilled to welcome Jeffrey and VRX to the StarCom Racing team” says Matt Kohler, President of StarCom Racing. “The duo of Cope and Earnhardt bring experience and excitement for the 00 in 2018!”

Jeffrey Earnhardt's 2017 #NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series Debut Daytona 500 Preview by Cassandra Myer (NASCARfemale.com)

Jeffrey Earnhardt's 2017 #NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series Debut

Jeffrey Earnhardt rolled off starting in P32 in the Great American Race. Making history, Jeffrey is a 4th generation Earnhardt making his start in the biggest race of the season. Making his dreams of carrying on the legacy of his family's name.

As Jeffrey made his first Daytona 500 debut he has a great group of support friends and family from home Mooresville NC and other places across the country to witness history in the making and to support Jeffrey in one of the biggest races of his career.

Running in the mid 30s into the mid 20s, Earnhardt kept it clean making some adjustments on the car due to some issues with the splitter hitting. During Lap 128, when the big crash came out involving Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer & others; Jeffrey avoided damage, pitted and got 4 fresh tires. On lap 136 Jeffrey got into the back of Elliott Sadler causing the 6th caution of the day.

Earnhardt was involved in a crash while running 13th on Lap 141 ending the day. Circle Sport / w TMG called it because of no water pressure and front end damage. Earnhardt finishing P26 in his first attempt in his first Daytona 500.

Hello guys sorry it took me a while to get this posted but do I have a Wonderful Blog for you. As y’all may know on September 10th 2016 I attended my first Nascar race ever and this blog is to tell you about the experience I had while I was there lets just say it was pretty much the best day of my life LOL I am not kidding it is one of the coolest things I have ever gotten to do so let me tell you about one of the best days of my life.

I had been given two hot passes for this race which gave me access to pits & garage area and I had no idea what to expect I was so nervous knowing I was going to be around the some of the coolest people in Nascar including Drivers, Reporters etc. in the top series of Nascar.

Saturday Morning Sept 10th, 2016

Saturday morning we all woke up @6:00am as soon as I wake up I feel all nausea and absolutely did not feel good at this point I thought let me get up and moving and it will go away but that was the problem this feeling didn’t go away at that point I realized it was my nerves getting the best of me. I could barely move without feeling like I wanted to throw up. I slowly sipped on a bottle of water and put in piece of mint gum to try to ease the neusea feeling it helped just enough for me to get ready and headed toward the track. Before we headed to the track we stopped by Starbucks for some coffee and I couldn’t even drink that I think I took one sip and I threw it away once we got to the track, that’s how nervous I was. Once we got to the track and got parked and we got out and we used the restroom did that nervous feeling start to go way.

Pulling up to the Track was so exciting for me It was so hard to believe that I was finally there I was pretty much one of they happiest girls on earth at the moment but at that point I had no idea what was in store for the rest of the day. We started out on the Aventure of finding the Nascar credentials trailer to get our Hot passes. After being confused we asked for help and the wonderful Guest Services at RIR took us to where we needed to be once we got there we had to fill out amd sign a form for registration to get the hot passes. Once we got everything filled out and was ready to go we found out that we couldn’t get our passes untill 12:30 but the ended up opening earlier because there were a lot of people waiting. As we were standing in line the realization started to kick in that this was happening and it was the most awesome feeling to be standing in line at the Nascar Trailer waiting to get hot passes.

Saturday Afternoon September 10th , 2016

After we got out Hot passes we wandered around the midway and checked out the huge fanatics Tent and then got some lunch waiting on the track to open. After lunch we met up with on of my Nascar Friends from online and then Headed Down to Grid Side Live where different drivers made appearance in front of the fans down on the track wich was pretty awesome to be standing on the Racetrack. As we headed in they handed us Nascar Sprint Cup Sweat Towel man did I need that because it was super hot out.

After hanging down on the track for Grid Side Live my Nascar Friend took us down to Pit road and Garage area as he has had this access before and so he gave us a tour of Pit road. We then eventually ended up at the hauler of Jeffrey Earnhardt and the GoFas Racing Team. Where we met the owner of GoFas Racing son Mason St. Hilaire. We than just stood outside of the Hauler for a bit and when I wasn’t paying attention Jeffrey came out behind me for me to turn around and see him I was like holy crap I am so nervous and he said why you so nervous LOL. In my head I was like because you are Jeffrey Earnhardt that’s why and I was nervous to meet someone I admire so much. I am a fan I will always be there to support him each week no matter what team he is with or how he does in each races, plus he kind a gots me also because he is pretty darn good-looking to but that is such a bonus. I am glad that I can be there to watch him succeed and grow its good to see that for a person who has so much passion for the sport and I can’t wait for the day when he is getting top 10 finishes or even winning races that will be a day I will never forget. I also got to meet Teresa and Tom Keen which if it wasn’t for them I would have never had this experience and words can’t describe how thankful I am for they opportunity they gave me. They are a Sponser of Jeffreys and own a Company called Keen Parts you should defiantly check them out they are great people and I am glad to know them and have them as friends.

Saturday Evening September 10th, 2016

Other than meeting the person I admire the most Jeffrey Earnhardt which he got a lot of Good Luck hugs LOL I am not kidding he did. There were some other amazing things that happened. I got the honr of standing with the crew on pit road at the car before the race started. At that the point I thought that we were going to have to leave and go back behind the pit wall but that wasn’t the case we go to stand on Pit Road for the Pre- Race ceremonies. All of a sudden I heard line up and I was like holy crap what is happening so I got in line then one of the crew members shouted you can stand by Jeffrey so I did and man was my heart pounding. This was so exciting standing next to Jeffrey and his crew during the Pre – Race Cermonies it was such an awesome experience.

After Pre – Race Cermonies we headed back to the pit box because that’s where we planned on staying for the race, we got there and we were told that we can sit in the Pit Box for the race man was this an awesome experiance. They had scanners so we could listen to Wally Rogers the Crew Chief talk to Jeffrey during the Race.Man was it aweome watching the first round of pit stops exciting. We has the best view coming from the person who has only seen a pit stop on TV. At one point during the race I felt someone tap me on the shoulder it was one of the Crew Members he had handed me some Lugnuts of Jeffreys car. So I had the experiance of a life time and trust me I could probably go on and on but I think this is a good stopping point.

There is one last thing I want to tell you. after the race was over we headed back to Jeffreys Hauler to Congratulate him you wanna know why because he hand gotten his Career Best finish in the Nascar Sprint Cup Series P27 and he had led the first two laps under the first caution when I found that out I knew before I left I had to congratulate him I even got hug and I said I knew I was a good Luck Charm and it looks like all those good luck hugs paid off.

P.S I would like to Thank everyone who made this Possible it was a dream come true and I am so fortunate to know such great people and I can’t thank you all enough for giving me this opportunity hopefully I can come hangout with you guys again and Thank You So Much for not only being my friend but being part of my Nascar & racing Family !!!

Ticket for the 2016 Bojangles' Southern 500

Darlington Raceway welcomes back its throwback weekend for the second year (in a five-year plan) after 2015's roaring success with the event. The Bojangles' Southern 500 returns for Labor Day weekend on Sunday, Sept. 4th (6 p.m. ET, NBC, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

The drivers are having a lot of fun with their throwback theme race cars. One of NASCAR Race Mom's favorite throwback car belongs to Kyle Busch.

The No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota will be a replica of the original design Dale Jarrett raced to victory in the 1993 Daytona 500, which was the first-ever win for JGR and Interstate Batteries.

However, nothing beats the Jeffrey Earnhardt's No. 32 Ford scheme, which combines features from the Nos. 2 and 3 Wrangler Chevrolets driven by "The Intimidator" in 1981.

"I'm pretty excited to have the famous yellow and blue paint scheme in honor of my grandfather for this year's Southern 500," said Jeffrey Earnhardt, the son of Kerry Earnhardt. "My grandfather ran this paint scheme in 1981, when he started the season as the No. 2 car driving for Rod Osterlund. When Richard Childress purchased the team halfway through the season it became the famous No. 3 car, so you have that 32 connection, so it's pretty cool to have the chance to bring it back this year. I know we'll have a lot of fun with it, and hope all the great fans enjoy it as well."

The top five fan votes for best paint scheme through Sept. 1 will be presented to a panel of NASCAR Hall of Fame members, who will determine the final selection for the Best Throwback Paint Scheme.

The award will be given to the winning team and driver on Sept. 2, just before the Bojangles' Southern 500 on Sept. 4 (6 p.m. ET, NBC, MRN, SiriusXM).

Last year, Kyle Larson's No. 42 Chevrolet won the award. Finalists included Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 88 Chevrolet, Kevin Harvick's No. 4 Chevrolet and Josh Wise's No. 32 Ford.
