Halloween #NASCAR Bravura

Halloween #NASCAR Bravura

Twitter is abuzz with NASCAR “Night Of Witches'

Halloween #NASCAR Bravura

The practices of Halloween mostly come from Celtic paganism in the British Isles, and their feast of Samhain, the new year.

They believed it was the time when ghosts and spirits came out to haunt, and the Celts would appease the spirits by giving them treats.

Before serious Playoff business, the trio of upper level #NASCAR head to Texas Motor Speedway; the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series take the time to enjoy Halloween.

Joey Gase / Go Green Racing Announcement

Joey Gase / Go Green Racing Announcement

Go Green Racing, Joey Gase, And Sparks Energy Inc. To Join Nascar Xfinity Series In 2018

The text below is from Joey Gase’s Facebook Page:

Joey Gase / Go Green Racing Announcement #NASCAR
Really excited to announce I will be racing for Go Green Racing in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 2018 thanks to Sparks Energy Inc!

Go Green Racing is proud to announce that Joey Gase will pilot the No. 35 Sparks Energy entry in the 2018 NASCAR XFINITY Series season. The crew chief for the Go Green entry will be Patrick Donahue who worked with Gase in 2017.

Go Green Racing is a NASCAR XFINITY Series team owned by Archie St. Hilaire that made its debut in 2009 in what was formerly known as the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Gase made his NASCAR XFINITY Series debut with the team in 2011 where he finished 20th at his home racetrack, Iowa Speedway. Gase went on to make his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) debut in 2014 with Go Fas Racing, the sister team to Go Green Racing.

"It's been such a pleasure being part of Joey's career," Archie St. Hilaire said. "My family has been very lucky to be part of many firsts for Joey's career and we look forward to creating great memories together again this year. With Sparks Energy, Donate Life, and many of our other great partners on-board, we hope to make the 2018 NASCAR Playoffs and compete with some of the big teams. We see a lot of potential in Joey, and hopefully we can move him up to Go FAS Racing in 2019 with a two-car Cup operation."

Joey Gase / Go Green Racing Announcement #NASCAR

Sparks Energy Inc., a partner of Gase's since 2016, has agreed to join GGR as the primary sponsor for the No. 35 in 2018. Sparks Energy will also serve as the title sponsor of the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, the Sparks Energy 300.

"Sparks Energy is a great family owned and operated company," said Gase. The owners, J and Magen, pour their hearts into the company and treat everyone like family. They're truly living the American dream. I love their hardworking style and great ethics. It's crazy to think that my partnership with Sparks all began with a Twitter message. I got an email back from the president of the company and the rest is history. I can't wait to get to Daytona and run with this great team. I can't thank Archie and everyone at Go Green Racing enough for the opportunity and Sparks Energy for making it happen."

About Sparks Energy, Inc.:

Sparks Energy, Inc. was founded in 2007 to address a growing need by both Investor Owned Utilities and Electric Co-ops for a quality workforce to perform storm response and energy restoration services. The Sparks Energy, Inc. team has over 35 years of experience in utility construction and management. Sparks is a committed leader in Energy Restoration Management. Our crews are qualified for overhead/underground distribution, transmission, substation and ROW operations. We are composed of both union and non-union crews. Our crews remain non-associated with mutual aid giving us the ability to move throughout the U.S. without having to request RMAG releases.

Morgan's Farm and Joey Gase's Labor of Love

Morgan's Farm and Joey Gase's Labor of Love

118,000 People Are Waiting For An Organ

Joey Gase and Morgan's Farm have much in common. What? Well Joey Gase is not your typical NASCAR driver, and Morgan's Farm is a unique business. Together they embraced their passions to form a mutually beneficial sponsorship opportunity for the NASCAR Xfinity race at Charlotte Motor Speedway last month.
Joey Gase, he is the driver of the No. 52 Chevrolet for Jimmy Means Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity series.
If you're not familiar with Joey Gase, he is the driver of the No. 52 Chevrolet for Jimmy Means Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity series. You also catch Joey part-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

Gase’s mother, Mary Jo, died suddenly of a brain aneurysm in April 2011. Just eighteen years old at the time, Joey made the courageous decision to donate her organs. His mom’s organs were able to provide new life to a number of individuals in desperate need of a transplant.

The experience sparked a fire in Joey to spread the word far and wide about the importance of organ, tissue and eye donation. His passion for sharing the message about donation rivals his passion for racing; and that is saying something.

Morgan Farms emerged out of a labor of love.

Morgan Farms emerged out of a labor of love.

Morgan's Farm also emerged out of a labor of love. Jacquelyn Chandler-Rupp was a transplant dietitian for Carolinas Medical Center for several years. She supported them as their registered dietitian, covering liver kidney and heart transplant patients before, during and after transplant.

Her tenure there demonstrated just how heartbreaking donor families’ experience is as well as those awaiting transplant. It became very real to Jacquelyn that the caregivers are suffering and there was nothing available to support them.

When she took six months off to be with her daughter and son who were adopted out of foster care, Jacquelyn was contacted by one of the hepatologists she knew through the transplant department at Carolinas Medical Center. Dr. Hansen asked her to come to Charlotte gastroenterology and hepatology and start a part-time nutrition Counseling Practice.

Also during this time, Jacquelyn was living on the farm and growing a lot of their own food. Her desire to support Donate Life and Joey Gase developed in part due to her background in transplant and all of the wonderful friends she had made.

Jacquelyn became acquainted with Jonathan Jones, the son of Jimmy and Sarah Jones who started Helping Hands Village. The rest is history as they say. Ms. Rupp has been involved in their Mission ever since.

“I feel so strongly that there's a need for promoting donation and support of caregivers of transplantation patients,” Jacquelyn Chandler-Rupp summarized. “I have been an advocate for years.”

Yup Joey Gase and Morgan's Farm have a lot in common!

“Since placing the ad on Joey's car . . . . . we are well on our way to starting a very profitable wonderful business promoting locally grown foods and Artisans; and teaching people survival skills here on Morgan’s Farm." Jacquelyn detailed. "The day of NASCAR I brought my mother with me and we had a fantastic time I had never been to a NASCAR race before. It was a tremendous experience that I will never forget and I will surely place another ad on Joey Gase and the Donate Life car."

Joey Gase did his Morgan Farms Chevrolet proud.

Joey Gase did his Morgan's Farm Chevrolet proud. On May 27, Joey qualified for the Hisense 4K TV 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the thirty-fifth (35th) position. After the drop of the green flag, he worked his way through the pack finishing on the lead-lap in twenty-third (23rd). The solid finish vaulted him into the Top-Twenty of the Xfinity Series driver standings.

Morgan's Farm is located at 3141 Dallas Cherryville Highway, Dallas, North Carolina 28034. They will be supporting Helping Hands Village Donate Life every month as they plan to have ‘Ag and Arts Day’ all through the year. She also sponsored Joey Gase’s car for the Hisense 4K TV 300.  (NASCAR Race Mom was pleased to be at the race!!!)

#NASCAR and Saving Lives

#NASCAR and Saving Lives

Joey Gase Races To Get The Message Out In Front of Thousands of Fans #ServiceKing300

OneLegacy is the non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives through organ, eye and tissue donation in the seven-county greater Los Angeles area. With more than two hundred and fifteen (215) hospitals, eleven transplant centers and a diverse population of nearly twenty million, OneLegacy is the largest organ, eye and tissue recovery organization in the world!

On Saturday, March 25, OneLegacy will strive to further their mission to save and heal lives through organ, eye and tissue donation, comfort the families they serve, and inspire their communities to Donate Life by sponsoring NASCAR Driver Joey Gase.

“Really excited to be teaming up with One Legacy this weekend to promote organ, eye, and tissue donation and to honor Alex Guedea and his family. This is something that is very important to me and my family because of my mother who was a donor and helped save and improve the lives of 66 people!”

Alex Guedea loved seeing other people laughing and enjoying life. Sadly, at the young age of twenty-one his life was tragically cut short. Shortly after receiving that news, Alex’s parents were gently and compassionately confronted with the possibility of organ donation. For his family, it was an easy and unanimous decision. Based on the life Alex had lived, they knew he would want this and knew they would honor him with a decision that would allow him to give a lifesaving gift to others and allow him to be part of another’s miracle.

Joey Gase’s dedication to organ donation is very personal and he is well aware of the difficult decision the Guedea Family faced. Gase lost his mother, Mary Jo, in 2011 after a sudden brain aneurysm, and his family was asked if she would like to be an organ, eye and tissue donor. Joey was barely eighteen-years-old when his decision to donate her body helped sixty-six other people.

This 2017 season started well for Gase as he recorded his second best NASCAR Xfinity Series finish at the season opener in Daytona. Leaving the starting grid from the thirty-fifth position, Joey survived a wild race bringing home a seventh place finish in the #52 Donate Life Florida Chevy. Unfortunately, his Chevy Camaro suffered brake issues in Phoenix last weekend and caught fire.

“Auto Club is an old rough and fast speedway that has been putting on a great show for our fans these last few years!” Gase offered regarding his next race this weekend.

Joey’s car is regularly adorned with the face of his mother and/or others who have given the Gift of Life making his one of the most unique cars in all of NASCAR. He also makes regular appearances at hospitals and donor awareness-related events.

This weekend, Gase’s Chevrolet will feature a hood dedicated to One Legacy and urge fans to register to “Live, Love, Donate.” Joey’s passion for sharing the message about organ donation rivals his passion for racing and makes him an awesome role model for others.

NASCAR Race Mom guarantees  you cannot watch the video below without tearing up and getting motivated.

NASCAR Race Mom will be attending the ‘Service King 300’ at Auto Club Speedway***  scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on March 25th. You can bet we will be rooting for Joey, his long time Crew Chief Tim Brown and the #52 Jimmy Means Team.

Gase to honor Dante PΓ©rez at Phoenix

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Joey Gase, Olympic gold medalist and UFC flyweight, Henry Cejudo, will join Donor Network of Arizona (DNA) and other jujitsu competitors to honor Dante PΓ©rez, a jujitsu instructor who saved four lives and healed dozens more through his gifts of organ and tissue donation.

Dante PΓ©rez, 24, became a jujitsu instructor to help at-risk youth stay out of trouble. Known for his kind spirit, Dante always looked for ways to make a positive impact in his hometown of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Beloved by his students, he was their role model. However, Dante was taken too soon from his loved ones when he succumbed to injuries he suffered in a car accident in November 2016.

Expect to See Lightning McQueen at the #NASCAR Daytona 500

Actor Owen Wilson, the voice of the animated character Lightning McQueen in Disney•Pixar’s upcoming movie “Cars 3,” will serve as Grand Marshal for the 59th annual DAYTONA 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Feb. 26 at Daytona International Speedway.

The DAYTONA 500, the season-opening race for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, will begin at 2 p.m. (TV – FOX, FOX Deportes; Radio – MRN Radio, SiriusXM) following Wilson delivering the famous “Drivers, start your engines” command to the 40-car field. In addition to giving the command, Wilson will ride in one of the Grand Marshal cars during pace laps prior to the green flag of the 200-lap, 500-mile race and attend the drivers meeting.

“Cars 3” opens nationwide on June 16. Wilson, who voiced Lightning McQueen in “Cars” (2006) and “Cars 2” (2011), is also known for starring roles in a variety of hit comedy films including “Wedding Crashers,” “Meet the Parents,” ”Zoolander” and “The Royal Tenenbaums.” Wilson stars in the upcoming “Wonder” and the Woody Harrelson-directed live film “Lost in London.”

Expect to See Lightning McQueen at the #NASCAR Daytona 500
“Owen Wilson is one of America’s most beloved comedic actors and his voice has brought Lightning McQueen to life for millions of movie-goers over the last 10 years,” said Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile. “His star-power, and of course his personality, are perfect fits for ‘The Great American Race.’”

For more information on “Cars 3” visit http://disney.com/Cars3.

Wilson is the latest name on a long list of actors who have served as DAYTONA 500 Grand Marshals including Gerard Butler, Vince Vaughn, John Travolta, Ben Affleck, Nicolas Cage and Matthew McConaughey.

Tickets for the 2017 DAYTONA 500 and Speedweeks can be purchased online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-PITSHOP. Fans can also follow NASCAR on Twitter and stay up to speed on the latest news by using #DAYTONA500 and #SPEEDWEEKS.

Stay connected with Daytona International Speedway on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Snapchat, and by downloading the Speedway’s mobile app, for the latest Speedway news throughout the season.

ABOUT “CARS 3”

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage! Directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist “Cars,” “Cars 2“) and produced by Kevin Reher (“A Bug’s Life,” “La Luna” short), “Cars 3” cruises into theaters on June 16, 2017.

Partnership to Raise Awareness and Save Lives

Partnership to Raise Awareness and Save Lives Donate Life Tennessee & NASCAR Xfinity Series Driver Joey Gase

Written By: Unique Hiram for MDR Motorsports
Date: January 22, 2017

"Never underestimate your ability to make someone else’s life better – even if you never know it." – Greg Louganis

Donate Life Tennessee is a 501(c)3 non-profit Organ and Tissue Donor Registry that was established on May 6, 2006 after the State Senate passed a unanimous vote in favor of the Donor Registry Bill. Approximately four years ago, the organization partnered with Joey Gase who competes in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. The organization signed on to sponsor both the spring and fall races in 2013 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“We became connected with Joey through Donate Life America, our umbrella organization, and also Donate Life Iowa where he was originally based. Because of Joey’s connection to organ and tissue donation, we started racing on the NASCAR circuit. Both organizations reached out to the different state teams that had races to see about sponsorship levels and that’s how we connected with Joey,” Sharon Pakis, Donate Life Tennessee Public Education and Relations Manager, shared with MDR Motorsports.

Joey Gase has been an advocate for organ donation because of his tragic personal experience. In April 2011, his mother Mary Jo died of a brain aneurysm. At the young age of 18, he had to make the heart wrenching decision about donating her organs that saved the life of over 60 people. As a result of this life experience, he has made it his mission to raise awareness and encourage the public to become organ and tissue donors.

“His message certainly fits our mission to save and enhance lives through organ and tissue donations and encouraging people to be organ and tissue donors in the State of Tennessee as well as in Virginia since Bristol kind of crosses those states,” Pakis said. “We will continue to support Joey on his efforts through the coming years. He is awesome to work with and such a delightful young man. He is so passionate about the cause and racing that we couldn’t ask for a better spokesperson."

Meredith Haga, Donate Life Tennessee Public Education/Public Relations Coordinator, an organ donor recipient herself expressed her pleasure in working with Gase. “It’s been great working with Joey Gase as well as working the race and everything. I can’t think of a better person or advocate for our organization. We get to work with him twice a year for both Bristol races. I know, not only myself, but also the general public look forward to his arrival. He is always one of the favorite drivers."

Ms. Haga been working with the organization a little over six months but was actually a volunteer beginning four years prior to her employment. She shared a bit of her life saving story with us. In her junior year of high school, the honor student athlete began having some medical issues that weren’t readily identified initially. Approximately three months after dealing with lingering symptoms, her diagnosis determined that she had an autoimmune disease that attacked her kidneys.

At the age of 17, she had six rounds of chemotherapy to try and combat the disease. One year later, after graduating high school and preparing to attend college, her kidneys failed completely. In October 2011, she began dialysis treatment and that went on for about 11 months. Haga had a living donor kidney transplant when she was 19 years old.

“People that wait for kidneys can wait for a very long time. Some people never receive transplants because the supply is a lot less than the demand,” she shared. “I was very lucky because September 4, 2012, my step dad gave me a living donor transplant and that saved my life."

There are number of Donate Life Tennessee sponsored events that Joey Gase participates in when competing at Bristol – visiting Niswonger Children’s Hospital in the eastern part of the state along with local high schools. One of the most exciting and memorable events last year was Hands for Donation. Registered donors and recipients were invited to the local DMV to attend so that they could have a mold of their handprints taken and placed on the racecar.

“We had such a great turnout at the DMV. I think it was amazing. The first person to put their handprints on the car was a man who was driving by and saw Joey’s car along with the Donate Life Tennessee logo. He saw the flag waving, stopped and asked what was going on. I explained to him who we are, what we do and about our partnership with Joey. He went in to renew his license, came back out and showed me the heart telling me he felt really compelled to go get that heart on his driver’s license,” Haga said.

Donate Life Tennessee is proud to be a sponsor for Joey Gase and they are looking forward to their continued partnership with the young driver as his career grows and flourishes.

Dan Bianchi and wife Tammy are the owners of Db Sales Company, an Industrial Machine Products organization, that has long been associated with the supply of quality parts and equipment to the industrial marketplace.

Located in Lockport, Illinois, they provide quality diesel and gas engines and parts, engine rebuild kits, engine governing equipment and generator control equipment. They are also able to supply quality Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts for all makes and models of off-highway equipment and industrial machinery.

Therefore, their sponsorship of #NASCAR Xfinity Driver, Joey Gase makes perfect sense and symmetry.  Db Sales.

“A friend of ours is a close friend of Jimmy Means. We had the opportunity to meet and eventually sponsor Joey Gase through that association in 2014, Dan explained.”

Jimmy Means Racing is owned by the former NASCAR driver of the same name. The team currently fields the No. 52 Chevrolet Camaro full-time for Joey Gase.

Competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series(NXS), Gase has eight career starts at Texas Motor Speedway, earning a best finish of twenty-sixth in the fall event last year. In addition to his XFINITY Series effort, this Sunday’s event will mark Gase’s thirteenth career start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series(NSCS),

“Texas is a fun, fast track that requires lots of tire management so it should be fun” Joey Gase commented on Texas Motor Speedway.

Gase ran the full Xfinity season for a second straight year in 2015. He finished twenty-first, with a best showing of fifth at Talladega. In November of 2015, Joey won the prestigious inaugural Comcast Community Champion Award at the NASCAR XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series awards banquet.

This year has also been going well.  Joey is currently twenty-first in the point's standing; fourteen points out of twentieth.

“I guess you would call me an ‘Associate Sponsor’ Dan Bianchi informed. We sponsor the team hauler. It has been a beneficial endeavor. Other teams see our logo and they use the products we supply . . . . we have gotten lots of business from this.”
