NASCAR Driver Joey Gase’s mother died suddenly of a brain aneurysm in April 2011. While he was only eighteen at the time, Joey made the courageous decision to donate her organs. From that traumatic experience, the Xfinity driver’s passion for sharing the message about donation rivals his passion for racing.

With NASCAR as his platform, the driver is dedicated to increasing the general population's awareness of organ donation. Therefore, when Gase heard that Bryan Clauson http://www.bryanclauson.com/ was an organ donor, the driver of the Jimmy Means Racing https://www.facebook.com/JimmyMeansRacing No. 52 Chevrolet knew he had to honor Clauson’s memory this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Challenge at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Clauson who died from injuries sustained in a crash in the United States Auto Club (USAC) Belleville Midget Nationals in Belleville, Kansas, is regarded as the nation’s top short-track dirt-car racer. He was only twenty-seven.

Be sure to cheer on the #52 Chevrolet of Joey Gase as he leaves the starting grid from thirty-seventh today at 3:30 p.m. EST at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
