Protecht's industry-leading live event technology and consumer-facing protection products help provide ticketing platforms and organizers with control over inventory, additional lines of revenue, fraud prevention tools and fan engagement through enhancements like an improved checkout flow, bot detection (beta) and upgraded security.

Through its various products such as FanShield, TourShield, EventShield, RegShield and FraudGuardian, Protecht provides a dynamic solution for the live events industry to protect attendees and organizers alike from financial burden by offering the option for consumers to protect their tickets, registrations and events including music, sports, endurance, conferences and more.

"The primary goal of the rebranding is to concentrate on our mission statement as we continue to grow," said Protecht Founder and CEO Bryan Derbyshire. "We're here to protect those incredible encounters and memories as well as the investments fans make in them. We 'Protecht What Matters'."

The rebranding comes on the heels of a blistering start to 2019 for Protecht that saw the launch of partnerships with Learfield IMG College, Eventbrite, Tickets.com and Paciolan, with more in the works. The company also launched a documentary series, FanStories, and hosted its second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series TicketGuardian 500 in Phoenix.

FREE 50th Anniversary Bash on May 4 - Dover International Speedway

FREE 50th Anniversary Bash on May 4 - Dover International Speedway

Featuring Petty, Allison, Johnson, Waltrip, Helton

The #NASCAR King - Richard Petty

Legendary NASCAR drivers and musical stars will appear on the Xfinity Stage in Victory Plaza as part of Dover International Speedway’s FREE 50th Anniversary Bash for fans on Saturday afternoon.

John Rich (Big & Rich), who shot to stardom with the hit singles “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy),” and “Comin’ to Your City,” will perform with Maryland native Sam Grow, a rising country music star, at the 50th Anniversary Bash, one of the entertainment centerpieces for the Monster Mile’s May 3-5 NASCAR tripleheader weekend. Cowboy Troy, who often makes tour appearances with Big & Rich, will also hit the stage.

In addition, NASCAR champions Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Jimmie Johnson and Darrell Waltrip, along with William Byron and Mike Joy, as well as longtime NASCAR executive Mike Helton and Dover Motorsports, Inc. President and CEO Denis McGlynn are among some of the special guests scheduled to make appearances on the Xfinity Stage in Victory Plaza. The appearances will be hosted by Riki Rachtman and MRN’s and SiriusXM’s Mike Bagley.

The 50th Anniversary Bash runs from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday following the “Allied Steel Buildings 200” NASCAR Xfinity Series Dash 4 Cash race (1:30 p.m. Fox Sports 1). The Xfinity Stage in Victory Plaza, located in the grassy area near the Monster Monument, is the home for the track’s free pre-race concerts and NASCAR driver and personality question-and-answers sessions throughout the Monster Mile’s event weekends.

Dover’s traditional fireworks display will follow the Bash at approximately 9 p.m.

The complete appearance schedule for the 50th Anniversary Bash on the Xfinity Stage in Victory Plaza on Saturday is as follows:
  • 3 p.m. Riki Rachtman welcomes fans
  • 3:10 p.m. Industrial Rhythm (percussion group)
  • 3:30 p.m. William Byron Q&A
  • 3:45 p.m. Jimmie Johnson and Richard Petty Q&A
  • 4 p.m. Darrell Waltrip Q&A
  • 4:15 p.m. Bobby Allison Q&A

  • 5:15 p.m. Harlem Globetrotters
  • 5:30 p.m. Sam Grow, John Rich and Cowboy Troy perform

Concession stands surrounding the Xfinity Stage will remain open during the event, including Dover Downs Hotel & Casino’s Frankie’s Monster Mile Café, offering food and drink specials. As part of the Speedway’s partnership with SoDel Concepts, a restaurant group based in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, the Monster Mile designed a special concession menu featuring many First State favorites, including the following:
  • Sticky Icky Fried Rice Bowl: Four-time award winning fried chicken morsels, shaved vegetables, fried egg and special sauce.
  • The Ricky Bobby: Shake and bake fried chicken, hand-blended dry seasonings, cole slaw, buttermilk aioli and potato roll.
  • Slingshot Scrapple Grilled Cheese: Scrapple, American cheese, fried egg and white bread.
  • Jimmie Jam: Hand-crafted griddled scrapple, foot long hot dog, fresh lobster and apple slaw.

Draft beer, such as Dover International Speedway’s 50th Anniversary “Splash & Go Lager,” brewed in collaboration with Dover, Delaware-based Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company, will be available for purchase. Other breweries represented during the Bash include Mispillion River Brewing and Blue Earl Brewery, all of which are part of Delaware on Tap, the Delaware Tourism Office’s smartphone application guide to the state’s craft beverage makers and a Speedway partner.

“This year, as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, there’s more for fans to do on the Speedway grounds than ever before,” said Dover International Speedway President and CEO Mike Tatoian. “This is one way we can say thank you to our fans for their loyalty to the Monster Mile. We hope all our guests will stop by the 50th Anniversary Bash on Saturday to hear from legendary drivers, enjoy our tasty food offerings and enjoy the entertainment on the Xfinity Stage in Victory Plaza.”

The 50th Anniversary Bash is just part of Dover’s planned celebrations during the May 3-5 NASCAR tripleheader weekend. In addition to the special gold Monster trophies given to the race winners and free 1:64-scale Dover diecast cars to the first 15,000 guests on Sunday, fans can also enjoy multiple free performances by the famous Harlem Globetrotters in the 8-acre FanZone (Sunday), a free Charlie Daniels Band concert on the Xfinity Stage in Victory Plaza (Sunday), as well as Micro Wrestling Federation matches (Saturday and Sunday), Del Rods Car Club car shows (Saturday and Sunday), a Winston Cup Mobile Museum display (all weekend), on-site NASCAR and sports betting (Sunday) and much more.

The May 3-5 NASCAR tripleheader weekend also includes the “JEGS 200” NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race on May 3 and the “Gander RV 400” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on May 5.

The Monster Mile’s Oct. 4-6 NASCAR tripleheader weekend features the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Friday, Oct. 4, the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race on Saturday, Oct. 5 and the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race on Sunday, Oct. 6. The Oct. 6, 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race will be the 100th NASCAR Cup Series race in track history. Dover International Speedway will be the 10th track in the nation to host 100 NASCAR Cup Series races.
