NAPA AUTO PARTS  sponsored the biggest kickoff in the history of the series – featuring four races in eight days and more than $400,000 in posted awards, plus giant bonuses that include $100,000 to any driver who can win all four events. The NAPA 500 Challenge will present 500 laps of competition at three tracks.

“We look forward to a tremendous week of competition as NAPA AUTO PARTS sponsors the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West in its launch of the 2017 season,” said Bill McAnally, president of Bill McAnally Racing Promotions. “These three tracks – Tucson Speedway, Kern County Raceway Park, and Irwindale Speedway – have come together with NASCAR to provide a great package of four events in eight days.

2015 Series Champion Chris Eggleston's victory at the Tucson Speedway, puts him in position to win $100,000 in the NAPA 500 Challenge.

“Everybody on this NAPA Filters Toyota did a heck of a job,” Eggleston detailed. “With the guys missing their flight Friday, due to weather, everybody rebounded so nicely. We had a well-balanced race car yesterday in testing. We fine-tuned on it. And even though we were good in practice, we just kept trying to find speed.”

“I wouldn’t say we had the fastest car that first segment,” Eggleston said of the first half of the race. “Todd had us covered. Our crew made the right adjustments at the midway break and this NAPA Filters Toyota was digging. The last few restarts had me on my toes, I was nervous restarting on the top lane, but it was rolling really good. Overall, it was a great night for this Bill McAnally Racing organization.”

In addition to the $100,000 bonus, other big awards are also at stake as part of the NAPA 500 Challenge. A $10,000 award is available to drivers who finish in the top three positions in all four races.

Drivers who finish in the top five spots in all four events could take home a $5,000 award.

And a $1,000 award is available to drivers who finish in the top 10 positions in all four races.
