All American Speedway Returns


Racing returns to Roseville on Saturday night with round one of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series at the All American Speedway.  The events will be closed to spectators but streamed live on All American Speedway TV. NASCAR Late Models, Jaws Gear & Axle Limited Modifieds, Super Stocks, F4s, Jr. Late Models, and Bandolero/Mini Cups will begin their drive for 2020 track championships.



Race fans can visit www.AllAmericanSpeedway.TV  to purchase their live viewing pass for $19.99 in high definition. The pass is also good for 30 days after the event to view it on demand.



The 66th season of stock car racing in Roseville includes events on August 1, August 15, August 29, September 12, September 26, and the October Classic on October 10. Touring stock car racing includes the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour on both August 15 and September 26 along with the ARCA Menards Series West on October 10.



The NASCAR Late Model competition will see drivers racing for state and national titles with ARCA Menards Series West rookies Gracie Trotter and Holley Hollan joining the division to gain additional stock car experience against the best in the west.

Awards up for grabs include the NASCAR championship points fund with over $15,000 in cash and prizes. The points fund includes $3,500 to the Div. 1 Late Model champion, $1,000 to the Div. II Limited Modified champion, $700 to the Div. III Super Stock champion, and $500 to the Div. IV F4 champion. The full points fund is available at the end of this release.

Competition Carburetion will offer “Send-It” cash bonuses this weekend with Late Models (second twin), Jaws Gear & Axle Limited Modifieds, Jr. Late Models, and Super Stocks each racing for $125, $75, and $50 for the top-three finishers. Fastest lap cash will also be offered with $50 going to the fastest car in each of those divisions. American Racer West will award a tire to a randomly selected driver at each event. Hunt’s Race World and K&N Filters are also offering contingency bonuses.

NASCAR licenses will be required. Friday practice will be $100 per car and driver registration with $40 for other pit passes. Registration for Friday practice closes at 5pm on Thursday. On Saturday, pit passes will be $40 for NASCAR members and $50 for non-members.

On Saturday, pit gates open at 11:30 am with practice beginning at 1 pm. Opening ceremonies will be at 5:00 pm with main events to follow.

Bowyer, DiBenedetto, Byron on Playoff bubble at New Hampshire As the NASCAR Cup Series prepares for the 20th event of the 2020 season, time is running out for drivers to solidify their positions in the Playoffs. With 10 drivers already locked in on wins - Denny Hamlin (five wins), Kevin Harvick (four wins), Brad Keselowski (two), Joey Logano (two), Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, Martin Truex Jr., Alex Bowman, Austin Dillon, and Cole Custer (each have one win) - there are still six spots up for grabs as the series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

As we head to the Magic Mile on Sunday, Aric Almirola (+134 points up), defending series champion Kyle Busch (+120) and his brother Kurt Busch (+119) all have comfortable point leads over 17th place Tyler Reddick – in the first spot outside the Playoff cutoff. But the drivers right below them in the standings – Clint Bowyer (+42) in 14th, Matt DiBenedetto (+35) in 15th, and William Byron (+10) in the 16th and final transfer spot are all feeling the pressure of clinging to their postseason contention chances by such small point margins.



Clint Bowyer / Stewart-Haas Racing #NASCAR
Stewart-Haas Racing’s Clint Bowyer, who jumped up one position after last week at Kansas and is now sitting in 14th in the Playoff outlook is 42 points up on the postseason cutline. This season, Bowyer has amassed two top fives and five top 10s. He finished 14th at Kansas Speedway last weekend and finished 20th last season at New Hampshire. In 26 series starts at New Hampshire, he has posted two wins (including his NCS career-first victory), four top fives and nine top 10s.



Matt DiBenedetto / Wood Brothers Racing #NASCAR
Wood Brothers Racing’s Matt DiBenedetto is next in the driver standings and is having a career year, currently 15th in the Playoff outlook with just a 35-point cushion up on 17th place Reddick – the first spot outside the Playoff cutoff. This season DiBenedetto has collected two top fives and five top 10s in 19 starts. DiBenedetto has recorded one top five and one top 10 in eight starts at New Hampshire. Last season, he finished fifth for Leavine Family Racing, one of his best career finishes to date.



William Byron / Hendrick Motorsport #NASCAR
Hendrick Motorsport’s driver William Byron is sitting in 16th - the final Playoff transfer spot - just 10 points up on Richard Childress Racing’s Tyler Reddick in 17th.

Byron will be making his third Cup Series start at New Hampshire on Sunday. Last season he posted his career-best New Hampshire finish (12th) in this event.

The ARCA Menards Series races originally scheduled for May 29 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and July 11 at Elko Speedway have been removed from the 2020 schedule and their dates reassigned to July 31 and August 1 at Toledo Speedway, series and track officials announced. Officials from ARCA, Mid-Ohio and Elko expect to renew the originally scheduled races in the 2021 season.

The unique schedule marks the first weekend doubleheader at the same track for the ARCA Menards Series since Pocono ran a pair of races on the Friday and Saturday of its July weekend in 2003. It is the first time since 1956 that the series will hold multiple races on a single weekend in its hometown, when a Friday/Saturday tripleheader was held at the now defunct Toledo Raceway Park.

The Friday/Saturday doubleheader at Toledo Speedway will be run under ARCA's Event Operations Protocol and limited to essential race team and operations personnel only. Toledo/Lucas County Health Department officials, as with the June 13 ARCA Menards Series East race at Toledo Speedway, have approved the event to be run with participants only and as such fans will not be permitted.

Friday's Menards.com 200 presented by SPxE is slated for an 8 pm ET green flag, while Saturday's Menards 200 presented by Crosley Brands is set for a 6 pm ET start.

Kaitlyn Anne Vincie is an American sports presenter and journalist. She currently works for the Fox NASCAR team as a reporter and presents in their daily news and update show NASCAR Race Hub.


Kaitlyn is married to Blake Harris. Blake is the car boss for Team 78 of Furniture Row Racing. He is also a multi-instrumentalist.



FYI: this writer had the pleasure of working with Ms. Vincie in December of 2011 during a media op - genuinely a nice and classy lady. I am immediately to Matt Kenseth's Left and Kaitlyn is the second person to his right.

Derek Kraus 5th At Kansas / #NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series


A fifth-place finish by Derek Kraus behind the wheel of the McAnally-Hilgemann Racing No. 19 ENEOS / NAPA Toyota Tundra on Friday – in the first race of a NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series doubleheader at Kansas Speedway – moved him into the top 10 of the championship standings.

The 18-year-old driver, who missed his high school graduation to race at Kansas, will return to competition on Saturday in the second race of the weekend for the series.

Kraus had a fast Tundra and demonstrated its strength in charging toward the front on several different occasions in Friday’s race. After starting 15th, he quickly made his way into the top 10 within two laps and finished the first stage in sixth on Lap 30.

Although he got shuffled back to 19th as the field cycled through pit stops, Kraus wasted no time battling his way back to the front. After finishing fifth in the second stage at Lap 60, he went to work, again, after restarting 10th. Shortly after moving into fifth by Lap 80, he pitted with the rest of the field under caution.

Kraus restarted in 13th and began another charge to the front – moving into the top 10 by Lap 90 and seventh by Lap 100. He was up to sixth by Lap 120 and charged into fifth on Lap 126 of the 134-lap event.

It marked his second top-five finish of the season. He opened the year with a best-career finish of fourth at Daytona International Speedway.

With his finish on Friday, Kraus moved to 10th in points – as the battle continues for a top-10 position and a spot in the playoffs.

Saturday’s truck series race at Kansas Speedway, slated for 1:30 p.m. ET, will be televised live on FS1.

You were up front all night, and earned stage points in both stages and scored your second top-five finish of the season. Talk about the solid run.

Derek Kraus / #NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series “Yeah, our ENEOS Toyota Tundra was really fast tonight. I felt like right from the drop of the green flag we had a good Tundra. We were able to drive from 15th to seventh/eighth at the end of that first stage. Then, we fell back a little bit on the pit stop and then made our way back up and finished fifth at the end of the night. I feel like that was a really good run and a really good way to start off the weekend.”

This was your high school Graduation Night. What did it mean to you to have such a strong finish tonight.

“I feel like tonight we had a really good run, and it was a special night, for me. It was graduation. I got my diploma from my principal back in Strafford, Wisconsin. I really can’t thank them guys enough. They let me chase my dreams of racing, and they let me miss as much school as I needed to, to chase my dreams. I just can’t thank them enough, and tonight was a really good night to have a good finish.”

With this run, you are back inside the top 10 in the overall standings. What do you need to continue to do to maintain that Playoff spot?

“We just need to have good runs. Tonight was a really good run. We had a really good start to the weekend, as we have that race tomorrow. I feel like we just have to have consistently good runs, finish inside the top 10 every week. If we do that, and do our jobs, we will be in the top 10 I feel like.”zzz

Super Start Batteries 400 Presented By O’Reilly Auto Parts At Kansas Speedway



Denny Hamlin passed leader Kevin Harvick with 13 laps to go then held off a hard-charging Brad Keselowski to win the Super Start Batteries 400 presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway Thursday night. 


It was a Cup Series-high fifth victory of the season for Hamlin, his second consecutive win at the 1.5-mile venue (after winning last October) and the 42nd trip to Victory Lane of his career. His margin of victory over Keselowski was .510 seconds. Harvick slipped to fourth while Hamlin’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammates - Martin Truex Jr. and Erik Jones – were third and fifth, respectively. Hamlin now has recorded five or more wins in a season on four occasions in his career, including two straight after taking the checkered flag six times in 2019.

“I saw him (Harvick) get loose, and I kind saw blood in the water there, so we just ran him down (and made the pass),” said Hamlin. “I thought the 2 car (Keselowski) was really fast. We just got it right when it really mattered. This is how you win them. We tried to keep track position at all costs and were able to keep it in clean air. Proud of this team. We are really doing a lot of things well and looking forward to getting to the playoffs.”

“I thought Denny and I were probably pretty close to equal the second half of the night,” said Keselowski. “It was just a matter of who got out in front. We didn’t get out in front on the restarts there and he was able to take advantage and bring home the win. All in all, it was still a really good day.” 

Hamlin led four times for a race-high 57 laps. His average speed was 121.832 mph. There were 22 lead changes among nine drivers.

  • Kurt Busch (9th)
  • William Byron (10th)

The fourth Gibbs driver – Kyle Busch – rebounded from a late scrape with the wall to come home 11th while NASCAR’s most popular driver, Chase Elliott, was 12th. Custer’s seventh-place standing made him the highest finishing rookie in tonight’s field.

With this year marking the 20th season of racing at Kansas Speedway, Hamlin became the fourth driver to win consecutive races at the track, joining Jeff Gordon (2001-02), Matt Kenseth (2012-13) and Martin Truex Jr. (2017). For Hamlin, tonight’s victory was important in that it ended a string of three straight races in which he placed 12thor lower, including finishes of 28th and 20th.

“We want to bounce back and it’s not like we ran bad by any means,” Hamlin said. “Indy, we were leading the race and blew a tire with six (laps) to go and then Texas, we’re going to come out with the lead and had that late-race caution that trapped us a lap down. We’re really doing a lot of things well. Kentucky is kind of the only outlier where we really didn’t run that well. Looking forward to downloading this and figuring out what we can do to be better.”

Busch won Stage One, his first of the season, as well his initial one at Kansas, earning him his first 2020 NASCAR Playoff point. Keselowski held off his Team Penske teammate Ryan Blaney to claim Stage Two for his fifth stage win of the season.

There were 11 cautions for 47 laps, with two accidents coming back-to-back on restarts that took out many contenders. The first occurred on lap 176 of 267 when two-time Kansas winner Joey Logano slowed in turn two, setting off a chain reaction incident that included Jimmie Johnson, Matt DiBenedetto, Harvick and Austin Dillon, last weekend’s winner at Texas. Logano and DiBenedetto immediately retired to the garage while Johnson’s wounded car would only make it 200 laps, resulting in a 32nd-place effort.

Six laps later on the lap-182 restart, Ryan Newman and Christopher Bell got together down the backstretch, sending Ryan Preece into the inside SAFER Barrier and Chris Buescher in the back of teammate Newman. Both Preece and Buescher were eliminated while Newman and Bell continued but with battered machines.

With his end result, Johnson, the seven-time Cup champion who is retiring from full-time driving at the end of the season, slipped to 18th in the playoff standings. He is now sandwiched in between 17th-place Dillon and 19th-place Cole Custer, who both have won races recently and are already guaranteed a spot in the 16-driver playoff field. The series has seven more races before the playoffs begin at Darlington Raceway on Sept. 6.

In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, My Bariatric Solutions 300, Kyle Busch finished P1 with the Ford Performance teammates of Austin Cindric and Chase Briscoe finishing P2 and P3, respectively. Busch’s car then failed post-race inspection, and the win was officially awarded to Cindric and Briscoe was moved up to P2.

“I just got out of the hauler from getting changed back into my street clothes and saw the 54 and everyone and their brother surrounding the scales, that’s never a good sign for those guys,” said Cindric, when asked about how he found out about the win ruling. “I know they race hard and word hard. I want to win it on the track. I felt like we had a shot to do that today and maybe didn’t execute as well as we should have and that’s what kept us out, but fast race cars and being in position that’s where it counts.”

Ford leads all manufacturers with eight total wins and Briscoe with Stewart-Haas Racing leads the driver and owners’ points standings with Cindric and Team Penske in P2.

Derek Pernesiglio Promoted


Although he may be a new face to the world of short course off road, veteran trackside reporter Derek Pernesiglio brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Lucas Oil Off Road Series. The newest addition to the broadcast team for 2020 will handle pit reporting duties at the races, providing viewers with the latest breaking news from the paddock as well as one-on-one interviews with the drivers that make the sport so exciting.

A native of the New England area, Pernesiglio has spent his entire career at the racetrack, where he’s spent time behind the wheel, on the mic, and in front of the camera. Growing up in a racing family, he had the privilege of competing at a young age, with the dream of perhaps one day racing in the Indy 500. As time wore on, Pernesiglio started to focus on a career in broadcasting and was able to get his start as a local track announcer. After completing school with a degree in television and radio production, Derek took advantage of a chance to work for NASCAR and made the move to North Carolina, the proverbial heart of stock car country, in the early 2000s.

From the moment he stepped foot in Charlotte, Pernesiglio has made inroads within the greater NASCAR community. After spending his early days behind the lens as a producer, he eventually made his on-air move in 2006 for the ASA Late Model Series. Shortly thereafter, he became the full-time pit reporter for NASCAR’s developmental K&N Series and has held that position ever since for what is now the ARCA Menards Series. He also serves as the pit reporter for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour since 2015. Through his role with the ARCA Menards Series Pernesiglio might be a familiar face and name to some viewers of MAVTV, where he’s also served as Ralph Sheheen’s co-host on Speed Sport.

After leaving a strong impression through his work with MAVTV, the opportunity arose for Pernesiglio to bring his talents to a new audience at the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. While the racing world was unfortunately put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, Pernesiglio found himself more available than originally expected and he got the call to join the off road team. Moreover, as a racer himself, Pernesiglio has an uncanny appreciation for the craft.

"I can’t wait to check out these racetracks and experience a new type of racing for the first time. It’s clear that all the drivers in this sport are exceptionally talented, and I’m looking forward to getting to know them better so that their personalities can come out on camera.

"I know I’m going to need to learn on the fly, but I’m really looking forward to jumping in and figuring it all out. I’ve been a racer my whole life, and I still have my own small race team, so I’m always in the shop turning wrenches. I can’t wait to see what goes into the fabrication process of these off road vehicles because what they do on the track is spectacular. I’ve always been called a ‘nuts and bolts’ reporter because I’m such a gearhead, and I think that’s going to help me learn everything there is to know about short course off road in a hurry. I really just can’t wait to get started.”

With his many years of reporting on the oval track circuit, Pernesiglio has garnered quite a loyal following of supporters that he hopes will follow him over into the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and expand the sport’s continuously growing fan base.

"I know that I find myself jumping out of my seat and yelling at the TV screen whenever I watch these races, and I’m sure the people who really spend most of their time watching stock cars and sprint cars will appreciate how exciting and unpredictable off road racing can be. If there’s one thing I really hope can come out of this season it’s bringing the awareness of the sport to different parts of the country that wouldn't otherwise see it.”

Ford Performance and Roush Yates Engines sweep Kentucky with Cole Custer winning his first NASCAR Cup Series race as a rookie and Austin Cindric capturing back-to-back wins on Thursday and Friday in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Ford Performance and our Ford Performance race teams have been working really hard to deliver fast race cars to the track every week and to see the guys in Victory Lane is a testament to everyone’s dedication and teamwork.”



On a late race restart with two laps to go, in Sunday’s Quaker State 400, Stewart-Haas Racing driver, Custer in the No. 41 Ford Mustang started from the third row. With a strong push from Ford teammate, Matt DiBenedetto, during the restart he was able to make a monster move from the outside on the white flag lap to take it four wide and pass the race leader and veteran drivers Martin Truex Jr, Kevin Harvick and Ryan Blaney for the lead. Custer took the checkered flag .271 seconds ahead of second place driver Truex, punching his ticket to the All-Star race on Wednesday night and into the Playoffs.

“I knew I just had to get to the top,” said Custer. “The top rolled pretty good and once I got past and I was like in third I was like I’ve just got to take a shot and do whatever I can here. And it ended up the 4 and the 19 got together a little bit and I was able to take advantage of it. It was just an unbelievable car and I was able to take advantage of it. I just can’t thank all my guys and everybody at SHR enough, and everybody at Roush Yates Engines – just an absolutely amazing car.”

In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Austin Cindric battled hard against Ford Performance teammate Chase Briscoe to bring home his first two wins of the 2020 season for Team Penske. This marked three NXS wins in a row at Kentucky for Ford Performance and 4th consecutive win in 2020.

Thursday night, Cindric took the lead with 40 laps to go and it appeared he would take the checkered flag, but late race cautions set the stage for a thrilling over-time finish as he battled with Ford Performance teammate Briscoe.

The two Ford Mustangs lined up side-by-side on the front row for a green-white-checkered finish. Cindric took the outside lane and Briscoe the inside. Briscoe was able to get a slight jump on Cindric at the restart, but the No. 22 would not be denied and got a huge run off the corner to rocket right by the No. 98 to take the lead and the checkered flag in Kentucky. Briscoe finished P4.

“I don’t care what shape the track is, if it’s dirt, oval, I don’t care I’m just so happy this Snap-On Ford Mustang is in Victory Lane,” said Cindric. “We’ve come so close all year. In a double-header at Kentucky Speedway the Xfinity series returned Friday night, where the No. 22 Ford Mustang dominated the Alsco 300. Cindric led a career high 130 laps out of the 200-lap race and took the checkered flag 2.262 seconds ahead of No. 98 Briscoe, making it a 1-2 finish for Ford Performance.

“I’m just so excited. This is all a credit to my team,” commented Cindric. “I’m the lucky one that gets to drive this Snap-On Ford Mustang. Thank you to everyone – Ford Performance. A one-two between me and Chase. That was a lot of fun.”
