About J.J. Yeley
J.J. Yeley is an accomplished driver and champion known for his versatility across multiple motorsports disciplines. Born on October 5, 1976, in Phoenix, Arizona, Yeley first gained recognition in open-wheel racing, particularly in USAC, where he won the 2003 Triple Crown Championship—claiming titles in Sprint Cars, Midgets, and Silver Crown in the same season, a feat only matched by racing legends AJ Foyt and Tony Stewart.
Yeley transitioned to NASCAR in the mid-2000s, debuting in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2004 with Joe Gibbs Racing as the successor to Bobby Labonte in the No. 18 car. Over his career, he has competed in the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series. Yeley has been a consistent presence in the sport, known for his adaptability, dedication and never give up spirit making him a well-respected driver in the garage area as well as on the racetrack!
Beyond stock car racing, Yeley has continued to race in dirt track events, such as the 2025 Chili Bowl in Tulsa, OK, maintaining his connection to grassroots motorsports.
