“scariest moment of my racing career”
Jordan Anderson gave another update on Monday on his condition after he sustained second-degree burns in a fiery crash during Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Thank you everyone for the texts, calls, and prayers. Haven’t been able to be on my phone, but I am so humbled by the overwhelming support.

Had to go to the ER last night for some side effects, so heading to the Wake Forest burn center tomorrow.
Getting better by the day! 🙏🏼
Anderson is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado for his team Jordan Anderson Racing.
Anderson, who is also a team owner, was making his fifth series start of the year and had been doing well before flames suddenly began bellowing out from underneath his Chevrolet on the 19th lap of the 94-lap race.
The vehicle then skidded around the track momentarily before sliding down and hitting the retainer wall in a ball of smoke, somehow missing the other drivers in the race.
The 31-year-old described it as the “scariest moment of my racing career.”
Anderson was seen jumping out of the window shortly before the truck came to a stop and was tended to quickly by stewards.
Get better soon Racer.
