Derek Kraus: 2021 NCWTS at Talladega: Race Preview

"This is Talladega !"

There are only three races left before the end of the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. Only three more possibilities for Derek to win his first race of his career. We all know that the Talladega Superspeedway, like all Superspeedways, can be a real lottery to determine the winner. The risk of "Big One" is more present than ever on this kind of very fast track where the drivers ride in tight groups.

But Derek is comfortable in this type of race. Fourth at Daytona last year at the start of the season, he finished 10th at Talladega while having led 19 laps and won Stage 2.

This year he was involuntarily involved in an accident at Daytona when the green flag was waved… Like its 2021 season, this Daytona race was marked by bad luck...

But the annual visit to Alabama might smile on Derek. As with all races on Superspeedway since the start of his NCWTS career, Derek will be wearing Shockwave Marine Suspension Seating colors. The company of Canadian David Smith.

No practice or qualifying, Derek will start from 13th position. His place in the championship. He is 104 points from 11th position. It’s a realistic goal. Have the honorary title of best driver outside the Playoffs.

GO Derek GO !!
