Decker, a native of nearby Eagle River, Wisconsin, returned to familiar Elko Speedway’s bullring focused on building off past experiences. Last year in just her second series start the twenty-one-year-old fan favorite qualified eighth and turned in a strong performance running inside the top-10 until a questionable late race restart infraction bumped her to 13th.
Last night Ms. Decker and her N29 Capital Partners race team, driving the Venturini Motorsports’ flagship No.25, started the race from tenth on the grid. After eight caution flags for sixty-two (62) laps, and one red flag, Natalie picked up her first career short track top-five finish. She sits seventh in the points race.
