The Ryan Blaney Family Foundation and Dave Blaney Team Up
June is Brain and Alzheimer's awareness month, and The Ryan Blaney Family Foundation is re launching the "Raced to Raise Alzheimer's Awareness" program. Today through July 5th, or until 120 names have been submitted, fans will have the chance to submit the name of an individual or loved one affected by Alzheimer' s and have it appear on the nose of Dave Blaney's Sprint car during the 13th Annual Lou Blaney Memorial at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, July 10th. Through this unique program, we are providing you with a special way to honor your loved ones who have been impacted by Alzheimer's disease.
To participate in the program, please visit rbff.kindful.com to make a minimum donation of $50 to the Foundation and submit the name of the individual being honored. After completion of the race, the participant will receive a signed, printed photo of Dave next to the car. Honoree names will be put on the sprint car Dave built, which models the paint scheme of his father's (Lou Blaney) 1967 car.
In 1967, Lou had eight wins and 10 top-five finishes out of 16 total races. In May 2021, Dave won a World of Outlaw race for the first time since 1997 in the replica sprint car, which he will be racing at the Lou Blaney Memorial.
Thank you to @teamblaney for helping us spread awareness for #AlzheimersDisease during Alzheimer's Disease and Brain Awareness month! 💜 #ENDALZ #gopurple #dementia #brainhealth #rbff https://t.co/ysEVNzw0PI
