Joe Gibbs Racing Celebrating 35th Anniversary

Joe Gibbs Racing Celebrating 35th Anniversary in 2026

JGR will Honor Team's Past Drivers, Employees, Fans and Sponsors

Joe Gibbs Racing, the winningest team of all-time across NASCAR’s three national series, is set for its 35th season in 2026. The organization has a variety of activations planned to celebrate the team’s history, fans, partners, and the Gibbs family.

Over the team’s history, Joe Gibbs Racing has earned 448 victories in NASCAR national series competition, including 227 NASCAR Cup Series wins and 221 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series wins. JGR’s pedigree includes championships with Kyle Busch, Bobby Labonte, and Tony Stewart in the Cup Series, and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championships with Busch, Ty Gibbs, Daniel Hemric, and Daniel Suárez. The team also helped launch the careers of other standout drivers like Christopher Bell, Denny Hamlin, Erik Jones and Joey Logano.

“It’s hard to believe we’re celebrating our 35th season,” said Dave Alpern, President of Joe Gibbs Racing. “What started as Coach’s dream on a piece of paper has grown into something truly special. From day one, he’s said you win with people—and that’s been true every step of the way. We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with our JGR family, past and present drivers, and all the partners and fans who make all of it possible.”

This season, JGR 35th Anniversary branding will be displayed on all of the team’s entries in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and the ARCA Menards Series, as well as on team equipment and apparel.

One significant event to celebrate the anniversary will be Joe Gibbs Racing Fan Day returning to the team’s Huntersville, North Carolina, headquarters for the first time since 2019. The event on Friday, October 9, will include appearances from current and past JGR drivers, sponsor activations, and more. Additional details will be announced at a later date.

JGR will also reward fans with unprecedented promotions throughout the year, including access to team members, unique experiences both at the track and at the shop, and chances to win one-of-a-kind pieces of memorabilia from the organization’s history.

JGR will also shine light on memorable moments from the organization’s 35-year history with behind-the-scenes content across the team’s social media channels – FacebookXInstagram, and TikTok.

Richard Childress to Receive Prestigious 2026 Horatio Alger Award

Richard Childress to Receive Prestigious 2026 Horatio Alger Award

Horatio Alger Association recognizes Members for their lifelong achievements and commitment to ensuring the American Dream for future generations.

Richard Childress to Receive Prestigious 2026 Horatio Alger Award

The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc., a nonprofit that honors leaders who have overcome adversity and supports young people in furthering their education, today announced that Richard Reed Childress, Chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing, will receive the prestigious Horatio Alger Award and become a lifetime member of the organization. Childress joins 10 other exceptional corporate, civic, and cultural leaders from across the country in the 2026 class of honorees. For the last 79 years, the Horatio Alger Award has recognized esteemed individuals who have reached remarkable success despite significant challenges, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to higher education and philanthropy.

Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Childress faced profound loss at five years old when his father passed away. As a young child, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, earning his school lunch in first grade by cleaning the lunchroom and sweeping the hallways. As he grew older, he continued to work, selling peanuts and popcorn at the local stadium on weekends to help support the family.

Childress discovered a passion for car racing at a young age, dreaming of one day becoming a racecar driver himself. As a young adult, he turned that dream into reality by purchasing an old taxicab for $20 and transforming it into his first racecar. What began as a one-man racing team grew over decades into one of the most respected organizations in motorsports. Today, Richard Childress Racing employes more than 400 team members supporting full-time operations in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Over his storied career, Richard Childress Racing has amassed more than 200 victories across NASCAR’s top three national series, including 17 championships, three Daytona 500 championships, and three Brickyard 400 victories. In recognition of his remarkable contributions to the sport, Childress was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2017.

“Throughout my life, I’ve learned how important it is to find your passion and pursue it with relentless dedication. You have to be willing to put everything on the line. My passion for racing began when I was just a kid at the track, and that spark has stayed with me ever since, pushing me to chase success in the sport I love,” said Richard Childress. “But passion alone isn’t enough. Surrounding yourself with people who share your drive is a source of strength that leads to success. That’s why being part of the Horatio Alger Association is so meaningful. This community of dedicated members works together to uplift young people as they follow their dreams. I’m honored to join in that mission.”

Beyond his accomplishments on the racetrack, Childress and his wife, Judy, are committed philanthropists. In 2008, they partnered with Wake-Forest University Baptist Medical Center to establish the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma, which has grown today into a nationwide initiative dedicated to prevent childhood trauma and life-threatening injury, the No. 1 killer of kids in America. The Institute funds research, education and advocacy to help improve the care and treatment injured kids receive throughout America.

“Richard Childress is an exceptional leader whose integrity, resilience, and commitment to excellence has long distinguished him in the world of motorsports and beyond,” said Marcia G. Taylor, President and CEO, Bennett International Group LLC, a 2017 Horatio Alger Award recipient who nominated Childress for the Award. “Through our partnership with Richard Childress Racing, I have seen firsthand how his dedication to his team, his industry, and his community reflects the very qualities that the Horatio Alger Association seeks to honor. I am pleased to support his induction and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.”

Childress and the member class of 2026 will be formally inducted into the Association during the 79th Horatio Alger Award Induction Ceremonies in Washington, D.C. in April. The annual ceremonies coincide with the Horatio Alger National Scholars Conference, which gives more than 100 students the unique opportunity to explore the nation’s capital and to meet and learn from Association Members.

Roto-Rooter Joins Trackhouse Racing for 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Season

#Roto-Rooter Joins Trackhouse Racing for 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Season

Leading Innovator in the Plumbing and Drain Cleaning Industry Partners with Connor Zilisch for multiple races

Roto-Rooter Joins Trackhouse Racing for 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Season

Trackhouse Racing announced today that Roto-Rooter has joined the team as part of a multi-year, multi-race agreement and will be the Official Plumbing Installation, Repair and Replacement Services Company of Trackhouse Racing.

The relationship with Roto-Rooter and Connor Zilisch dates back to October 2024 at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway when the young driver made his third career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series start with JR Motorsports (JRM).

“We’re really looking forward to taking the next step into the Cup Series with Connor and Trackhouse Racing,” said Thad Reinhard, President of Roto-Rooter Corporation. “Connor has been a great representative for Roto-Rooter the past two seasons at JR Motorsports. He’s a great young kid and incredibly talented behind the wheel. We feel very fortunate to have this opportunity and we’re all excited for the 2026 season.”

In 2025, Zilisch and Roto-Rooter teamed up to win a thrilling O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway. He held off Trackhouse Racing teammate Shane van Gisbergen to win the 79-lap event. Zilisch grabbed the lead for the final time on lap 48 and held on for the next 32 laps, despite intense pressure and a friendly nudge or two from van Gisbergen. Zilisch won his first NASCAR series race at Sonoma and led the most laps (four times for 46 laps).

It’s awesome to continue the relationship with Roto-Rooter into the Cup Series,” said NASCAR Cup Series Rookie, Zilisch. “I’ve met a lot of great people with the company over the last two years. The win at Sonoma was really cool, and I remember how excited everyone from Roto-Rooter was in victory lane after the race. I can’t wait to grow that relationship this season.”

Roto-Rooter will make its on-track Cup Series debut with Trackhouse Racing and Zilisch in April at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway as part of a unique doubleheader. In addition to Roto-Rooter’s Cup debut on April 12, the company will also serve as primary sponsor for Zilisch in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on April 11 with JRM at the .533-mile concrete oval.

I’m excited to get back on the track in Daytona with BRUNT Workwear and Niece Motorsports,” says Pastrana.

Motorsports Legend Travis Pastrana Returns to NASCAR with BRUNT Workwear

BRUNT Workwear, the fastest growing work boot and apparel company for trade workers in the U.S., announces the return of motorsports icon and 11-time X Games gold medalist Travis Pastrana to NASCAR. To mark BRUNT and Pastrana’s second full year of partnership, Pastrana will race in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series season-opening Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona International Speedway on February 13th, 2026 with BRUNT as his primary sponsor in the No. 42 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet.

Held annually at Daytona International Speedway during Speedweeks, the Fresh From Florida 250 is a 100-lap, 250-mile event, known for its thrilling drafting, aggressive driving, lead changes, and frequent multi-truck incidents. Pastrana joins the Niece Motorsports team for this year’s race, with whom he has had multiple high-profile appearances in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, including most recently at Daytona in 2023, where he finished in 11th place.

“I’m excited to get back on the track in Daytona with BRUNT Workwear and Niece Motorsports,” says Pastrana. “This is my first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race since 2023, so it will be fun to get behind the wheel again and see what we can do. It’s great to work with BRUNT for the first time in NASCAR. They’ve been an amazing partner, getting behind all the good times and bad ideas we cook up at Pastranaland, and keeping myself and the Channel 199 crew safe and comfortable while we do it - expanding that partnership to the racetrack was a no-brainer and a great opportunity for all of us.”

Like Pastrana, BRUNT Workwear is no stranger to NASCAR and the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, having sponsored driver Mason Massey in both stock car and truck racing events with multiple teams since 2021. Expanding their presence in the sport with Travis Pastrana and Niece Motorsports has been a long time coming.

“We’ve been talking about making this happen ever since we started working with Travis,” said Eric Girouard, Founder & CEO of BRUNT Workwear. “If something has wheels and an engine, chances are Travis drives it better than most. He’s a motor and action sports legend that embodies BRUNT’s commitment to celebrating hard work and grit, and we can’t wait to see him in the BRUNT Truck at Daytona.”

“Travis and I first worked together at Roush back in 2013, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see that relationship continue into the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series with Niece Motorsports,” adds Cody Efaw, CEO of Niece Motorsports. “Travis is one of the most genuine people you’ll ever meet, and we’re thrilled to welcome BRUNT Workwear to the Niece Motorsports family. Their brand is a natural fit for who we are and what we do, and we’re excited to take the green flag together at Daytona.”

Pastrana’s return to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series with BRUNT Workwear and Niece Motorsports at the Fresh From Florida 250 will air live on Fox Sports 1 from Daytona International Speedway starting at 7:30 p.m. ET.Story

Goodyear Presents Gold Car to Kyle Larson

Goodyear Presents Gold Car to Kyle Larson

2025 NASCAR Cup Series Champion

Executives from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company presented the Goodyear Gold Car award to 2025 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson on Friday, Jan. 23 in a special ceremony at Hendrick Motorsports.

The prestigious trophy has been awarded to the NASCAR Cup Series champion driver every year since 1985. Today’s ceremony marks the first time the presentation took place within the winning team’s shop, highlighting the significant teamwork needed to win the championship.

The Gold Car, which is often cited by champion drivers as their favorite trophy, is a 1/12-scale replica of Larson’s No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro, plated in 24k gold. This Gold Car, presented by Goodyear CEO and President Mark Stewart, is the second for Larson, who also won the Cup Series championship in 2021.

“We’re honored to present Kyle Larson with the Goodyear Gold Car in the shop where the actual championship car was born,” Stewart said. “Hendrick Motorsports and Goodyear have always been a winning combination in NASCAR and the team remains a historic partner for us, having won 15 championships on Goodyear tires, and playing a pivotal role in milestone wins throughout our NASCAR history.”

“Receiving the Goodyear Gold Car is incredibly special,” said Larson. “It’s such a unique trophy in our sport, and it represents everything it takes to win a NASCAR Cup Series championship.

To be able to accept it on the Hendrick Motorsports campus, in front of the men and women that work so hard, makes it even more meaningful. This championship was even more meaningful because it was a full team effort.”

Renowned model builder Michael Dunlap has built each Goodyear Gold Car since 1985. He uses precise measurements of the actual race car to create an exact replica, including the exterior, interior, and vehicle systems such as the chassis and suspension.

Every detail from the hood pins and lug nuts to each dash switch are exactly as they appear on the champion’s car.

  • Race For The Seat is a competition reality series where 15 aspiring drivers battle for a coveted spot on the Kaulig Racing team behind the wheel of a Ram 1500 in the 2026 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series
  • The eight-episode series hosted by Jacob Lofland taps into the dream of becoming a race car driver, appealing to motorsports fans and general sports audiences alike
  • Ram’s reentry is a strategic move to connect with a core audience of truck owners
  • The series provides a high-performance stage to showcase Ram’s next-generation trucks and the grit of grassroots racing talent
  • Race For The Seat will premiere in the United States on FOX on Sunday, January 25, at 12pm ET with new episodes airing for free across the globe on RAM’s official YouTube Channel for the show – youtube.com/RAMRacefortheSeat – from January 26 through February 6

Ram is charging back into the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series — the way that only Ram can. In partnership with Thrill Sports Productions, Ram is launching Race For The Seat, a bold new reality competition series that gives 15 aspiring drivers the chance of a lifetime: to earn a spot in one of five Ram 1500 race trucks on the Kaulig Racing team for the 2026 season.

Over eight adrenaline-fueled episodes, contestants will go head-to-head on iconic tracks, including Virginia International Raceway and South Boston (Va.) Speedway. Viewers will get an inside look at the drivers’ lives, their triumphs and setbacks, and the raw determination it takes to rise through the ranks of motorsports.

“Ram is an iconic American brand, and I’m excited to partner up with them for their new reality series, Race for the Seat,” said Dana White, UFC CEO. “This reality show is all about finding up-and-coming drivers and giving them a massive platform. The best always rise to the top in this type of competition. We are going to find the next generation of superstars for the NASCAR truck series,” added White.

The series will feature unfiltered, behind-the-scenes commentary from UFC CEO Dana White, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis and Kaulig Racing Team Owner Matt Kaulig — offering fans a rare look at the business, strategy, and heart of racing. Special guest appearances will add to drama both on and off the track.

“We promised Ram would approach NASCAR differently — and Race For The Seat is proof. Sometimes raw talent isn’t enough. Many successful careers start with an opportunity, a lucky break — or in my case, a good old-fashioned kick in the ass,” said Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram.

“There’s no one better at building champions than Dana White, which puts this show ‘in the draft’ before it even begins. Among these competitors, talent is a given. What we’re looking for is heart, hustle, attitude, and an insane drive to succeed — someone who lives our ‘Last Tenth’ culture. When a driver rises from a field of 15, it’ll be their shot, their break — and knowing Dana, probably a few kicks — that lead to a life-changing moment by the time we get to Daytona,” Kuniskis added.

Ram recently announced Kaulig Racing as the anchor factory team for the truck maker’s highly anticipated return to NASCAR, starting with the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in 2026.

“Race for the Seat is a great opportunity for the next generation of drivers to show what they’ve got,” said Matt Kaulig, Owner of Kaulig Racing. “Working with RAM to bring this show to life allows us to think differently, push the limits, and give these talented drivers a platform they wouldn’t normally have. I can’t wait to see who earns the seat and joins us on the track.”

Race For The Seat will place the winner in the final seat on Kaulig Racing’s five-truck lineup for 2026:

  1. Brenden “Butterbean” Queen
  2. Daniel Dye
  3. Justin Haley
  4. Free Agent
  5. Race For The Seat

Race For The Seat will premiere in the United States on FOX on Sunday, January 25, at 12pm ET with new episodes airing for free across the globe on RAM’s official YouTube Channel for the show – youtube.com/RAMRacefortheSeat – from January 26 through February 6. Race For The Seat episodes will also be available on FS1. Check local listings.

Hardee’s Returns to NASCAR as an Official Partner

Hardee’s Returns to NASCAR as an Official Partner

Joins 23XI Racing as Primary Partner of Bubba Wallace and the No. 23

Hardee’s Returns to #NASCAR as an Official Partner

NASCAR announced that Hardee’s,  the iconic American quick-service restaurant brand, is returning to the sport in a major way as the Official Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) of NASCAR. In addition to the multiyear agreement, Hardee’s also will join 23XI Racing as a primary partner with Bubba Wallace and the No. 23 team, marking one of the most significant comebacks of a heritage brand in recent NASCAR history. Throughout the season, Wallace will drive the No. 23 Hardee’s car at several races, starting in Martinsville, and Hardee’s branding will be included all season on the No. 23 team’s uniforms and equipment and Wallace’s firesuit.

For decades, Hardee’s has been interwoven with NASCAR’s fabric, having sponsored some of the sport’s most legendary names and moments. During the 1980s and 1990s, Hardee’s-backed entries achieved 12 NASCAR Cup Series victories, driven by Hall of Famers including Bobby Allison (1981), Cale Yarborough (1983–1988), Alan Kulwicki (1985), and Dale Jarrett (1988–1989). Allison captured three wins—including the prestigious Coca-Cola 600 — in the famed No. 28 Hardee’s car in 1981. Yarborough went on to secure nine victories with Hardee’s, including back-to-back Daytona 500 titles in 1983 and 1984, cementing the brand’s place in NASCAR history.

Now, Hardee’s returns at a moment of remarkable momentum for the sport, joining a growing list of iconic Americana brands choosing NASCAR as a platform to reach millions of passionate fans.

“Hardee’s is an American classic with deep roots in our sport, and its return represents more than a new partnership — it symbolizes the power and appeal of NASCAR’s heritage,” said Craig Stimmel, NASCAR Chief Commercial Officer. “As more legacy brands look to NASCAR to connect with loyal, multigenerational fanbases, Hardee’s stands out as a partner that understands the passion, tradition, and energy that fuel our community. We’re thrilled to welcome them back in such a significant way.”

As part of the agreement, Hardee’s will activate across key NASCAR events, engage fans through unique experiences via its My Rewards™ loyalty program, and collaborate with 23XI Racing and Wallace across digital, social, and community-driven campaigns.

For Wallace — who is coming off one of his best seasons to date — the partnership carries special meaning.

“NASCAR is built on legacy, and Hardee’s has been part of some of the most iconic moments in our sport’s history,” said Bubba Wallace, driver of the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE.

“To bring that history forward with 23XI is really special and we’re looking forward to representing a brand that means so much to NASCAR’s story. Fans know the Hardee’s paint schemes of the past, and I’m excited to help create some new memories for longtime and newer fans.”

Hardee’s will leverage the partnership to deepen engagement with its customers and NASCAR’s millions of fans nationwide, celebrating the sport’s history while fueling its future. The collaboration was facilitated by Hardee’s media agency, PMG, which helped orchestrate the strategic deal. Together, NASCAR, 23XI and Hardee’s will roll out a series of integrated marketing initiatives throughout the season.

Finalists Chosen for Inaugural FAT Racing Shootout

Finalists Chosen for Inaugural FAT Racing Shootout

Contest created by Rob Smedley to offer a funded season in British Formula 4 to a driver from a humble background

The finalists have been selected for the inaugural shootout for a scheme created by former Formula 1 engineer Rob Smedley to offer a British F4 campaign to an underfunded driver.

The finalists have been selected for the inaugural shootout for a scheme created by former Formula 1 engineer Rob Smedley to offer a British F4 campaign to an underfunded driver.

Smedley first revealed the plans in 2023 which initially featured a series of karting competitions around the world where all of the participants race in arrive-and-drive electric karts in a bid to try to democratise motorsport and enable talented drivers from less privileged backgrounds the chance to shine.

These events formed part of the FAT Karting League, from which world finals were held to help select the drivers for the FAT Racing shootout.

Two finalists were automatically chosen from the world finals: American Shea Aldrich, who won the Junior Heavy class, and Briton Ellis McKenzie, who topped the Junior Light division.

They will be joined in the shootout by two wildcard drivers who also impressed during the world finals. Scotland-based South African Monde-Jnr Konini was a runner-up while American Jackson Wolny was third in the Junior Heavy final.

They will now all take part in a two-stage shootout to determine who receives the fully-funded seat on this year’s British F4 grid.

The first phase will take place at FAT Racing’s UK headquarters and will involve simulator, fitness and media skills assessments, before the finalists will then head to the Guadix circuit in Spain, where they will get behind the wheel of F4 machinery.

“This is a historic moment for us, but more importantly, it’s a statement of intent,” explained Smedley.

“This has taken years of relentless work, belief and refusal to accept the status quo.

“Today, we are crystallising a real pathway from the FAT Karting League into single-seater racing that is based on talent, performance and capability — not on who can afford to pay their way forward.

“For too long, motorsport has filtered out exceptional ability simply because of budget. That has to change.

“Talent deserves opportunity, not exclusion, and we’re proud to be building a system that finally puts ability first.”

Smedley’s FAT Karting League co-founder Ferdi Porsche added: “The shootout is the next step in our mission to create a truly meritocratic pipeline all the way to the top of the sport.

“By removing financial roadblocks and pairing that with the technical expertise of our engineers, we’re ensuring that anyone gets a shot at becoming the next world champion, regardless of their background.”

Kevin Harvick hits Son Keelan with Wake-Up Call

Kevin Harvick hits Son Keelan with Wake-Up Call

Epic Battle in CARS Tour West Season Opener

Keelan Harvick will one day have his day in the sun; Saturday at Tucson Speedway was not the time nor the place. His father, 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, reminded him that his “maiden voyage is over.”

The Harvicks headlined the field for the CARS Tour West Pro Late Model class season opener at Tucson Speedway. Keelan and Kevin banged doors and traded paint late in the race, the 13-year-old initiating it and the 50-year-old ending it. The elder Harvick took the checkered flag with Keelan coming in second, making it a father/son 1-2 finish.

“It got a little physical, but I was like, ‘You know what, buddy, you’ve moved me out of the way today, your maiden voyage is over, you’re gonna get the bumper back.’ I’m glad he didn’t wreck, but I would have been fine with that, too, today,” Kevin Harvick told Short Track Scene. “It was fun. Hopefully the crowd enjoyed it, it’s fun to be in Victory Lane.”

It was an entertaining duel between father and son, one of many we could see as Keelan Harvick continues to rise through the ranks of motorsports. Keelan Harvick put up a fight but came up just short going up against an experienced wheelman in his dad, a 60-time Cup Series winner.

“I had him the first time and we kind of got hung together there off of [Turn] 4 door-to-door and it kind of shot me down the racetrack just a little bit, and I didn’t get a great entry into [Turn] 1,” Kevin Harvick said. “I lost that battle there and the second time, I think he thought I was gonna roll the top or he thought I was at the top and tried to cross me over, I don’t remember exactly what happened right there. He didn’t get there, and then he moved me in the next corner. From there, it was game on.”

Keelan Harvick really wanted to beat his dad. That being said, he enjoyed the battle.

“It was really fun,” Keelan Harvick said. “Hate that I couldn’t win but still really fun racing him.”

Tony Stewart Joins Ram’s Free Agent Program with Kaulig Racing at Daytona Truck Race

Tony Stewart Joins Ram’s Free Agent Program with Kaulig Racing at Daytona Truck Race

NASCAR fans, get ready: Tony Stewart, three-time Cup Series champion and motorsports icon, is officially returning to the NASCAR stage at Daytona in 2026. Stewart will team up with Ram Trucks and Kaulig Racing as the first competitor in Ram’s groundbreaking Free Agent program within the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series

Stewart, known to fans as “Smoke,” last competed in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2005 and the Cup Series in 2016 before shifting his focus to NHRA drag racing with Dodge. His return marks a monumental moment for the sport—blending Stewart’s legendary competitive spirit with Ram’s bold re-entry into NASCAR.

“I’ve raced just about everything with four wheels at Daytona, but never a truck.

So when a seat in the new Ram was offered up for their first race back in NASCAR, I didn’t hesitate,” said Stewart, a 19-time winner at Daytona across the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and IROC.

“Ram’s Free Agent program is another great way for me to stay sharp and have a little fun.”

The Free Agent program is designed to bring legendary drivers and rising stars into the spotlight, giving fans a unique mix of experience and fresh talent behind the wheel of Ram trucks.

“We’re not just returning to the track; we’re rewriting the playbook. Bringing Tony in as the first Free Agent will generate a crazy amount of excitement, which is exactly why we created the program—allowing fans to watch an all-time favorite driver get back into the seat, but this time, it’s a Ram truck,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of American Brands, SRT Performance, NA Marketing and Retail Strategy at Stellantis. “This is about honoring a legacy. Tony represents grit, determination, and the spirit of racing—pure adrenaline for the fans.”

Ram will field five trucks in the 2026 season with Kaulig Racing, signaling a major investment in NASCAR. Stewart’s involvement and the Free Agent Program underscore Ram’s innovative approach on and off the track.

“Having Tony Stewart in one of our Ram trucks is the kind of thing you dream about,” said Matt Kaulig, Founder and Owner of Kaulig Racing. “He’s a legend—his name alone brings energy to the sport. We couldn’t be more fired up to have him in our camp as we roll into Daytona for our first race. This is going to be a ride worth watching.”

In addition to his NASCAR and drag racing success, Stewart is the first and only driver to win all three USAC National championships (Midget, Sprint, Silver Crown) in one year (1995). He also took an Indycar championship in 1997. Stewart’s career is celebrated as a member of the NASCAR (2020) and National Sprint Car (2022) Halls of Fame.

Fans can expect exclusive behind-the-scenes content, new Ram Truck announcements, and immersive race-day experiences as part of this historic collaboration at Daytona in February.

The Kaulig Racing lineup has one more spot for Daytona:

  • Brenden “Butterbean” Queen
  • Daniel Dye
  • Justin Haley
  • Tony Stewart (Free Agent)
