Moses Smith To Participate In "Race Wednesday With Chris Boyer"

Moses Smith will be returning to his hometown just before Thanksgiving to participate in “Race Wednesday With Chris Boyer.” Boyer from 101KGB, San Diego's Classic Rock radio station will race against Moses and eight other listeners.

“I started racing go-karts in San Diego when I was just twelve-years-old,” Moses remembers. “However, it has been a while since I was in one. . . . should be interesting.”

The event will be held at the Miramar Speed Circuit on 11/26/2008 at 12:30 p.m. The track is a 1/4 mile technical (1,500 ft) asphalt racetrack and boasts of three hairpin turns and two straight-aways.

Moses races in the Camping World Series West during regular season, but participates in as many off-season events as he can to promote his sport. He will be arriving with hero cards, and t-shirts to distribute amongst the spectators.

The 2008 season ended on 10/25/2008 with the last race in Roseville, California. Moses finished that race on the podium by taking the checkered flag in third place.

“I started my career in formula cars, 2008 was just my second year in the heavier NASCAR stock cars. To finish the season in sixth place was a tribute to my team’s hard work and patience."

Smith’s season included ten top-ten and three top-five finishes. He also earned two “Powerade Move of the Race” awards which are given to the driver who improves his or her position the most in the race. Moses’ season was enhanced at the NASCAR awards banquet on 11/01/2008, where it was announce that he was the recipient of the prestigious 2008 Most Popular Driver award.

“My scouts tell me that Chris is real serious about his racing. I am going to have to be on my game if I want to beat him across the finish line.” Smith reported. “I hope to see you all at the track for Race Wednesday.”
