Racing Is Life

NASCAR’s 2008 Camping World Series West Most Popular Driver, Moses Smith had a unique opportunity to blend his passions for an enjoyable afternoon at the Miramar Speed Circuit, an indoor karting track, the day before Thanksgiving. "Steve McQueen said that Racing is Life - Anything that happens before or after is just waiting,” Moses related, “that is surely true for me – family, friends, fans and racing pretty much sums up my life.”

When 101KGB radio personality, Chris Boyer offered Moses a ride in his weekly ‘Race Wednesday’ promotion, Moses jumped at the chance. After attending the Driver’s Meeting, Moses, his father Paul, and brother Zack strapped on their helmets and safety equipment for a ten-minute qualifying session and following ten-minute main.

After qualifying; brother Zack was observed pumping Moses for tips. A fully inverted start guaranteed that the main would prove interesting. Racing side by side on the indoor 1/4 mile asphalt track, there was plenty of passing and a couple of spins. “Everyone on the track was truly competitive.” Moses stated. “Driving up from the back was more difficult than I had anticipated, but so much fun.” The fans on hand were treated to autographed Moses Smith Racing T-Shirts and Hats. Everyone express their thanks and appreciation. Moses and family enjoyed themselves so much, they are hoping to be invited back soon for a rematch!
