Denver Mayor Hancock Proclaimed ‘Furniture Row Racing Day’ in the Mile High City Congratulations to Martin Truex Jr., who is the new NASCAR Cup Series Champion. Truex and his Furniture Row Racing crew held off Kyle Busch by .681 seconds at Homestead-Miami Speedway to win the Ford Eco-Boost 400 and his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series title.

"It's just overwhelming," a tearful Truex said in Victory Lane. "To think about all the rough days and bad days, the days that we couldn't run 20th, to be here. I never thought this day would come, and to be here is so unbelievable."

Once the team returned to Denver, Mayor Michael B. Hancock read a proclamation proclaiming Furniture Row Racing Day in the Mile High City, the home base for the racing team. Truex presented Mayor Hancock with a Furniture Row Racing crew shirt.
