Ryan Truex Has Kaulig Racing In The Playoff Hunt

Ryan Truex Has Kaulig Racing In The Playoff Hunt

Truex Breaks Back Into Top-10

When Kaulig Racing added Ryan Truex to the team during the offseason, hopes were high that success would come quickly, and it has.

Kaulig Racing is a full-time American stock car racing team, owned by CEO and Owner of LeafFilter™ Gutter Protection, Matt Kaulig. Setting the team up for success, Kaulig Racing™ joined forced with Richard Childress Racing in 2016 to create a technical alliance, including the use of ECR engines.

Through the first seven races of the season, Truex has not only gelled with his new crew chief Chris Rice, but the twosome have raced to three top-tens including his tenth place finish Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway. Truex also managed to collect stage points in both Stage One and Stage Two with a ninth and eight position respectively.

“We finally got back in the top-10 with a 10th-place finish at Bristol and got some good stage points in both stages. So overall it was a good day. We kept the car in one piece; we can still see Sea Watch, Bar Harbor and Leaf Filter on it so that equals a good day. The boss was here, Matt and Lisa (Kaulig) were here, so I’m glad we could have a good run for them. It was a big day for us. We needed to get back in the top-10 and get some momentum. So we’ll take this to Richmond and hopefully get us a top-five and maybe even a win.”

The No. 11 Kaulig Racing Bar Harbor/Sea Watch International Chevrolet Camaro team is ranked seventh in the driver championship standings and is in the hunt to make the Playoffs; a mere fifty points back from the standings lead.

The Xfinity Series is back in action on Friday, April 20th for the 'ToyotaCare 250' at Richmond Raceway.
