Matt Borland (Germain Racing), crew chief of the No. 13 entry driven by Ty Dillon in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series was indefinitely suspended for a violation of the sanctioning body’s Substance Abuse Policy in August.

At that time, Borland said in a statement released by the team that he was notified of a positive test for the banned substance **DMAA (2-amino-5-methylhexanamine). He and team owner Bob Germain Jr. said a derivative of the substance was an ingredient in a diet coffee that he had been using regularly for the last six months.

Borland successfully completed NASCAR’s ‘Road to Recovery’ program.

Crew Chief Clifford Turner worked with Jeff Green in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for twelve races before his suspension on June 18th 2019. He violated NASCAR Infraction Sections 12.1 & 19 – Behavioral.

Both men have been reinstated. Welcome back boys.
