All three of NASCAR’s National Series, highlighted by the premier Cup Series (NCS), return to Circuit of The Americas (COTA) March 24-26 for an action-packed schedule with the third running of the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix.
The NASCAR at COTA races are the first road/street course races of the season for all three series – NCS, NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) – and one of six on NCS’s points-paying, 36-event schedule. NASCAR’s best will head to Austin, Texas to take on the challenging 20-turn, 3.41-mile COTA permanent road course.
The three-day NASCAR at COTA event will feature three races: the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix NCS race on Sunday, March 26 and the Pit Boss 250 presented by USA TODAY NXS and the XPEL 225 NCTS doubleheader on Saturday, March 25.
The weekend opens March 24 with FEVO Friday featuring NXS and NCTS practice and qualifying sessions beginning at 3:30 p.m. CT. The trucks will be the first on track with practice followed by qualifying at 4 p.m. The NXS will do the same with a practice at 5:30 p.m. followed by qualifying at 6 p.m.
All three series will be on track Saturday, March 25 with the NCS opening the day with practice at 9:30 a.m. and qualifying at 10:30 a.m. Next up will be a pair of races with the NCTS XPEL 225 at 12:30 p.m. and NXS Pit Boss 250 presented by USA TODAY at 4 p.m.
