There is only one race remaining in the NASCAR feeder series, the K&N Pro Series East. The series opener’s winner, NASCAR Next driver Austin Hill, celebrated his second win of the year a couple of days ago in the UNOH 100 at Richmond International Raceway+.

The starting grid had to be set by driver standings per NASCAR’s rulebook when rain brought qualifying to a halt. Therefore Austin started the race from third. Hill grabbed the lead after an early caution and held on until the skies opened up again and rain ended the race prematurely at Lap 70.

Going into the season finale on October 2nd, a mere fourteen points separate the top-three drivers. That should make for an exciting conclusion to the 2015 season.

William Byron (No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet)

  • Is first in the standings after earning four wins, five top-five and ten top-10 finishes.
  • Recorded his victories at Greenville (South Carolina) Pickens Speedway (April 4, 2015), Iowa Speedway (May 16, 2015), Virginia’s Langley Speedway (May 20, 2015) and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (July 17, 2015).
  • At other national series oval tracks he’s finished second (Bristol), first and 13th (Iowa), first (New Hampshire).
  • Is a member of the 2015-16 NASCAR Next class.

Scott Heckert (No. 34 Project Lifesaver Chevrolet)

  • Is runner-up in the standings after tallying two wins, nine top-five and ten top-10 finishes.
  • Earned his two wins at North Carolina’s Bowman Gray Stadium and New York’s Watkins Glen International.

Austin Hill (No. 22 A&D Welding/Don Rich Ford)

  • Is ranked third in the standings after registering two win, five top-five and eleven top-10s.
