Irwindale, Calif. - - One day before they’ll be dukeing it out 3-wide on the banks of Toyota Speedway, the drivers, crews, and race cars of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series will be on hand at the Monrovia, California, Courtyard by Marriott at 700 Huntington Drive at the 210 freeway to meet the fans and depart on the now-traditional NASCAR Route 66 Hauler Cavalcade to Toyota Speedway.
“We’ll have upwards of thirty colorful NASCAR race car haulers lined-up all the way up Monterey Avenue (next to the Marriott) and set to take off for the Speedway,” said track GM/VP Bob DeFazio. “So we’re inviting all our great fans to join us at the hotel from 5 to 6 o’clock to meet the drivers, get an autograph, take pictures of the kids with the pros, and get a discount coupon for Saturday night’s huge NASCAR race and Independence Day fireworks show.”
Each of the team members will have a special supply 25% off discount coupons that will save smart ticket-buyers $5.00 on the price of Saturday night’s $20.00 Adult GA ticket.
Fans are invited to join all the NASCAR fan fun at the Marriott on Friday at 5:00 PM, and the best part is that they won’t have to wait until Saturday to use their ticket discount, there’ll be an event ticket booth right there in the exhibit area.
At precisely 6:00 PM the unique 2011 NASCAR Hauler Cavalcade will head east on Huntington Drive through Monrovia, Duarte, and Azusa before turning south on Irwindale Avenue to head over the 210 freeway, and down through Irwindale. There, the supergraphic- multihued trucks turn west on Arrow Highway and into the home stretch on Live Oak Avenue, running a few blocks through Baldwin Park, parading over the bustling 605 Freeway, and on to the main gates of Toyota Speedway and Event Center at 500 Speedway Drive.
Last year a number of fans and racing families took a “shortcut” to the Speedway and got there ahead of the convoy to give them a rousing welcome when they got the track … Fans are invited to do the same of course. This is a NASCAR 18-Wheeler party that everyone can join in on!
