Allen West, and co-host of History Channel’s Top Gear America and NASCAR personality Rutledge Wood plan to participate in all or part of the 20th Anniversary Ride.

"What began as just a few friends having a good time riding track to track has turned into we have today, which is an incredible event that provides thousands of live changing experiences for children," Petty said in a release. "This is the first year we’ve traveled straight from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, and I’m looking forward to experiencing it with friends, while meeting our fans and generous supporters along the way."

In the past 10 years, over 7,730 children with health issues that would typically prevent a child from attending a camp have attended Victory Junction at no cost to their families thanks to the Kyle Petty Charity Ride. Since Victory Junction's inception by the Petty family in 2004 in honor of their son, Adam Petty, Victory Junction has served as the primary beneficiary from the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America. Adam was killed instantly in a crash during a NASCAR practice session

I have been aware of VJ Camp since it was built in the name of Adam (RIP). It is a FREE camp for children with serious illness to make them feel normal - not sick for the time they are there.

I have never heard of victory junction until i read this blog post. i think it's absolutely incredible that there is a state of the art facility for children with illnesses to go beyond their illness and explore and have fun year round while still being able to get the 24 hour medical supervision. It's absolutely amazing and so glad to hear there are places that still enrich the minds of children and let them know yes! You can do this!
