Chad Finchum To Make His 4th Xfinity Series Start at Bristol MBM Motorsports announced that Chad Finchum will return to the team's #40 entry for the Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Finchum, of Knoxville, TN, will be making his fourth start of the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series season for the organization owned by NASCAR veteran Carl Long.

Smithbilt Homes, based in Knoxville, TN will make its first appearance in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, serving as primary sponsor on the #40 Chevrolet. Longtime Finchum partner, Buddy Gregg RVs and Motorhomes, also located in Knoxville, TN, will serve as an associate sponsor for the team's entry. Finchum Heating & Cooling will also continue its relationship with the 22-year-old driver as associate sponsor for the event.

Chad Finchum earned his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory
at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway in 2016.

Although making his first Xfinity start at the World's Fastest Half Mile, Finchum is no stranger to BMS. In April 2016, Finchum scored a victory in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series event, driving for NASCAR veteran drivers Eric McClure and Hal Martin.

The Food City 300 is set for Friday, August 18 at 7:30 PM on NBCSN

Chad Finchum quote:

"I'm looking forward to Bristol this weekend. It's my home track and I have many great memories, first as a kid coming to all the races with my family, to having the chance to compete here. It's special to finally have the chance to race BMS in an Xfinity car. I've had some success here in the development ranks, and I won the NASCAR K&N race with MMR (Martin-McClure Racing) in 2016. I think that success will be an asset for me in Friday's race. It takes a lot off the learning curve because I have confidence heading to this track.

I'm very honored to have Smithbilt Homes and Buddy Gregg Rvs and Motorhomes partner with us for the event. I'm proud of the motorsports heritage we have in this region. To be able to introduce these companies to the NASCAR arena is something I'm very proud of. I'm optimistic we can represent them well Friday night."
