What You Need to Know

  • •Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Todd Gilliland returns to Dover where he had a strong run last year in his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut. He finished the second stage in fourth place, but suffered a broken wheel in the final stage which took him out of the race.
  • •It will be a "double dog" weekend for PEDIGREE® as the brand's colors will also adorn team owner Kyle Busch's No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry for Sunday's AAA 400 Drive for Autism Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover.
  • •There will be two Gillilands competing in Friday's NCWTS race. David, Todd's father, will take on the role of owner and driver behind the wheel of the No. 54 DGR-Crosley Tundra.
  • •Gilliland competed in six races in 2017, posting a pair of top-five and three top-10 finishes. He had a best finish of third at New Hampshire and crossed the line fifth at Martinsville in the fall. He opened his 2018 schedule with a 14th-place finish at Martinsville in March after leading a lap and running up front most of the race. A late-race pit stop did not give him enough time to return to the front of the field.
  • PEDIGREE® will be Gilliland's primary sponsor for six NCWTS races this season. The PEDIGREE® Brand is the No. 1 brand of dog food and treats in the world, feeding more dogs than any other brand. The PEDIGREE® Brand offers a wide variety of products and formats for dogs at every life stage. The PEDIGREE® Brand is built on an unwavering love for all dogs and a commitment to dog adoption. Last year he started the final stage in third place, but an untimely caution after a green-flag pit stop cost him two laps as he finished 13th.
  • •He continues to run limited schedules in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, ARCA and Super Late Models. He has finished in the top-five of both of his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East starts (third at New Smyrna and second at Bristol) and also finished in the top-five in his lone ARCA Racing Series start at Nashville (third) this season. The 17-year-old driver has four Super Late Model victories in 2018; winning three features during the World Series of Asphalt at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway and bringing home the victory in the prestigious Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway in Kinston, Ala

What You need to ‘Noah’bout

  • •Coming off two strong performances in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and another in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East in the month of April, Noah Gragson returns to his full-time job as a championship contender in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this weekend at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. While the Truck Series was on a month-long hiatus from action, Gragson kept sharp behind the wheel by competing in other NASCAR Series. He captured the pole, led 54 laps and finished third in the K&N Pro Series East race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway April 14. The following weekend he recorded an impressive runner-up finish in his Xfinity Series debut at Richmond (Va.) Raceway. The talented teenager followed it up with another impressive run, posting a fourth-place finish in the Xfinity Series race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway last weekend.
  • •Gragson will make his first foray into double-duty action this weekend at the Monster Mile. In addition to driving the No. 18 Safelite AutoGlass Tundra in the Truck Series event Friday, he will make his third start behind the wheel of the No. 18 Switch Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race. In last year’s Truck Series event at Dover, he started from the eighth position and finished ninth, so he’s hoping to improve upon that finish with the extra track time he’ll get with Xfinity Series practice on Friday.
  • •Crew chief Ryan “Rudy” Fugle called the shots for Kyle Busch’s victory in Truck Series action at the one-mile oval in 2014.
  • •The Las Vegas native enters Friday’s event ranked fifth in the NCWTS championship standings, 35 tallies behind points leader Johnny Sauter. Gragson has earned two playoff points through the first four races in 2018, winning the First Stage at both Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway and Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway. The 19-year-old driver has led at least one lap in three of the four races this season and boasts a best finish of second at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway.
  • Safelite AutoGlass, the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, will adorn the hood of Gragson’s No. 18 Tundra for all 23 events on the NCWTS schedule in 2018.
