Greg Biffle Joins Team GT in 2018

Two-time NASCAR champion Greg Biffle is packed and ready to put #AnywhereIsPossible to the test in 2018. #Biffle

General Tire announced today that two-time NASCAR champion Greg Biffle will join Team GT beginning in 2018. Biffle is packing up, and hitting the road to test General’s “Anywhere Is Possible” theme.

Biffle, the 2000 Truck Series and 2002 XFinity Series champion, will be the focus of a social media campaign that sees him participating in a series of events throughout the year, each of which will be documented in real-time on General Tire’s social channels. Fans will be able to interact with Biffle on his excursions by using #Biffle on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

"We’re extremely excited to have Greg Biffle join Team GT," said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire. "Greg’s voice will provide a change of pace in the channels. His perspective will be a great third-party approach and will allow us to earn new followers, increase our awareness, and of course, generate tons of content."

An avid outdoorsman, Biffle is a natural fit with General Tire and the company’s “Anywhere Is Possible” mantra. He joins Team GT as social media correspondent and will be tackling adventures on the trail, at the lake, in the desert, on the streets, and anywhere a General tire will take you!.

Biffle's first role as a member of Team GT will take place in New Orleans, La., where he will take part in the launch of the latest additions to the General Tire line, the G-MAX RS and the GRABBER A/TX. Biffle will participate alongside the media members there to cover the event, testing the new product line on a variety of vehicles while providing behind-the-scenes access.

Team GT boasts some of the biggest names across a variety of arenas, including CJ Hutchins, Jim Beaver, Jeff Proctor, Chase Motorsports, Camburg Racing, Stan Shelton, Ryan Beat, Skeet Reese, Edwin Evers, Mark Rose, Ott DeFoe, John Crews, Britt Myers, and Bill McDonald. They represent General Tire in the Best in the Desert Racing Series; Major League Fishing; King of the Cage; Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, Late Model Dirt Series, Pro Pulling League, Modified Series, Drag Boat Racing Series and ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series; Expedition Overland; FreestyleMx.com Tour; Zero One Odyssey; and Spec Tire of JeepSpeed.

Want a Chance to Lunch with #NASCAR 's Jeff Gordon?

Ever wonder what it would be like to grab lunch with your favorite NASCAR driver, TV sportscaster, and childhood cancer philanthropist? Wish you could hang out with Jeff and ask him about all those things you pondered while watching from the stands or your sofa? Is there something you’ve always wanted to tell him? Well, this could be your opportunity to do ALL of these things!

YOU COULD WIN:
A private lunch for you and one guest with Jeff Gordon
  • • A private lunch for you and one guest with Jeff Gordon
  • • Two tickets to experience the NASCAR Hall of Fame
  • • An exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of Hendrick Motorsports
  • • An exclusive, premium collectible gift from Jeff
  • • $1,500 for overnight accommodations and travel to Charlotte, N.C.

NASCAR Race Mom had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Gordon in 2012. Jeff presented himself so at ease and polite, he immediately calmed my nerves. As I was allowed to direct the dialogue, I asked him about the highs versus the lows of his recent racing experiences.

“That’s just part of racing,” Jeff explained. “It is definitely not how we wanted to start the chase as we already had to start twelfth in the points; but we are not out of it yet. You have to be careful not to dwell on all that good and bad. Ten races are a lot more than most people realize. We need to get everything we can out of it and make up some ground. Never give up!” Gordon responded.

It was a wonderful experience for this NASCAR Nut and you can bet that NRM bought two tickets of her own to help support this philanthropic cause.

Childhood is a time for dreaming big. The possibilities are endless; you can be anything your heart desires. Your imagination can take you anywhere you wish to go. The world is as big as your imagination.

Cancer steals those dreams from children as the focus shifts to just feeling better, wishing for hair to grow back, and dreaming of a day spent outside a hospital or a doctor’s office. By partnering with the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation, you are doing the very important work of restoring dreams to our children.

Research holds the promise for treatments that are less toxic and results that include a cure.

Bundle of Joy Fund Awards $75,000 in IVF Grants

The Kyle Busch Foundation’s  “Bundle of Joy” program awarded five Charlotte, N.C.-area couples a total of $75,000 toward their In Vitro Fertilization costs on Monday, Jan. 29. Each of the five couples received $15,000 in their accounts at REACH to begin infertility treatments and hopefully start a family of their own.

Since its inception in September 2015, the Bundle of Joy program has donated just over $325,000 among 27 couples. To date, KBF has provided funding to help cover treatments resulting in 12 miracle babies with two more on the way later this year.

Kyle Busch and Samantha, tried to have children for more than a year before they learned they both had infertility issues. They eventually sought IVF treatment at Reproductive Endocrinology Associates of Charlotte (REACH). Brexton Locke Busch born 05/18/2015 and weighted a healthy 7 pounds 10 ounces.

On being transparent, blunt and funny about delicate topics: "When you come out the other side of it with a baby, you can easily talk about it [with humor]. 'Oh, my ovaries are broken. Kyle's sperm sucks.' It's easy at that point. When you're going through it, that's when it's hard. That's when it's delicate. If somebody said, 'What's wrong with your ovaries?' I probably would have jumped across the table at them. You're in such a terrible spot where you're already like, 'Why can't I have a baby. How come everybody else can get pregnant so easy?' When you're going through it, it's much harder to talk about." Samantha Busch in May 2017.
