#NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017

To Be Announced At The NASCAR Hall of Fame on May 25th.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017 and winner of the 2017 Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR will be announced following a vote by the NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Panel.

The five NASCAR Hall of Fame inductees will be selected from the list of 20 nominees, and the third Landmark Award recipient will be chosen from the list of five nominees, both listed below. The announcement will air live on NBCSN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, NASCAR.com and MRN.com.

NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017 Nominees

  1. Buddy Baker, won 19 times in NASCAR’s premier (now Sprint Cup) series, including the Daytona 500 and Southern 500
  2. Red Byron, first NASCAR premier series champion, in 1949
  3. Richard Childress, 11-time car owner champion in NASCAR’s three national series
  4. Ray Evernham, three-time NASCAR premier series championship crew chief
  5. Ray Fox, legendary engine builder, crew chief and car owner
  6. Rick Hendrick, 14-time car owner champion in NASCAR’s three national series
  7. Ron Hornaday Jr. , four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion
  8. Harry Hyde, 1970 NASCAR premier series championship crew chief
  9. Alan Kulwicki, 1992 NASCAR premier series champion
  10. Mark Martin, 96-time race winner in NASCAR national series competition
  11. Hershel McGriff, 1986 NASCAR west series champion
  12. Raymond Parks, NASCAR’s first champion car owner
  13. Benny Parsons, 1973 NASCAR premier series champion
  14. Larry Phillips, five-time NASCAR weekly series national champion
  15. Jack Roush, five-time car owner champion in NASCAR’s three national series
  16. Ricky Rudd, won 23 times in NASCAR’s premier series, including the 1997 Brickyard 400
  17. Ken Squier, legendary radio and television broadcaster; inaugural winner/namesake of Squier-Hall Award for NASCAR Media Excellence
  18. Mike Stefanik, winner of record-tying nine NASCAR championships
  19. Waddell Wilson, won three NASCAR premier series championships as an engine builder
  20. Robert Yates, won NASCAR premier series championship as both an engine builder and owner

Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR

  1. H. Clay Earles, founder of Martinsville Speedway
  2. Janet Guthrie, the first female to compete in a NASCAR premier series superspeedway race
  3. Raymond Parks, NASCAR’s first champion car owner
  4. Ralph Seagraves, formed groundbreaking Winston-NASCAR partnership as executive with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company
  5. Ken Squier, legendary radio and television broadcaster; inaugural winner / namesake of Squier-Hall Award for NASCAR Media Excellence
