The Avett Brothers' official video for "Ain't No Man," the single from their upcoming record True Sadness, due out June 24, is now available. The cheery, singalong tune finds Scott Avett parading through the Asheville airport singing along to the tune and admiring his fellow airport-goers.
Once on the plane, Avett nods to the pilots in the cockpit, one of whom happens to be NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson. Avett then takes his seat next to brother Seth and they takeoff to wherever their destination may be.
"I’ve been friends with the guys for a few years now and thought it was really cool of them to ask me. I don’t think I’ve actually ‘acted’ in a music video before, so growing up in the MTV and VH1 era its definitely something I’ve had on my bucket list. Hopefully all of the time I spend behind the wheel of my race car translates into me being a believable pilot. It was such a neat experience and I had a blast just hanging out with Scott and Seth and the band that afternoon; it was just a lot of fun. Hopefully all of our fans get a kick out of it and enjoy it as much as I did. Jimmie Johnson reported."
Jimmie Johnson is scheduled to race again tomorrow at Dover International Speedway. He will start 21st in his #48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, as qualifying for the ‘AAA 400 Drive for Autism’ was cancelled due to rain.
