The rainy weather at Bristol Motor Speedway did not detour fans from honoring retiring NASCAR Star, Tony Stewart. The speedway supplied fans with #14 signs and instructed to hold them high on lap fourteen of the race to honor the driver of the #14 car final Sprint Cup start at Bristol.

The signs were held up but with so much going on at the track, Stewart said that he didn’t really see the tribute.

“I’m having a hard time just staying where I want to be on the racetrack,” he said. “That’s pretty cool. I’m sure I’ll get to see it on a replay ... That’s a huge honor. This is such a cool racetrack that I’m sad it’s my last one here but I’ve had some pretty good memories here.”

Stewart has one win in his career at Bristol. He has 10 top-10 finishes, seven of them top fives, at the track.

The Bass Pro Shops NRA Saturday Night Race was postponed to today at 1:00 pm ET due to rain. Unfortunately, the Sunday race is now also on hold due to weather. At least half of the schedule laps must be completed before a race can become official. The drivers were only able to complete forty-eight of the five hundred laps scheduled.

The race, when it does resume, can be seen on CNBC while radio networks PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR are also providing coverage.
