NASCAR and Iowa Speedway announced dates for its 2017 races.
The 2017 Iowa Speedway schedule again features two exciting NASCAR
weekends. For the second consecutive year, the track will showcase both
the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR XFINITY Series in
June.
These two NASCAR national touring series will take center stage on
Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24, 2017 in central Iowa. The NASCAR
XFINITY Series will also return to the “Fastest Short Track on the
Planet” for the U.S. Cellular 250 on July 29, 2017, its traditional
weekend.
"Being able to announce our schedule today positions us well with our
fans and allows them to plan ahead for our race weekends in 2017," said
Iowa Speedway President Jimmy Small. "We worked diligently with NASCAR
to create the best season of racing for our fans and we’re thrilled to
once again pair the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck
Series next season.”
Announcements of additional series schedules at Iowa Speedway will be
made as soon as they are available. The final 2017 schedule will be
announced later this fall, including start times and event schedules.
